yellow warning light on with oil can with drop of oil 2006 yamaha apex

what does the yellow warning light with the oil can on display ,just recently rebuilt the engine ,it has oil pumping pulled the hose off the top of the oil tank and its pumping oil ,what comes up if no oil pressure or low oil pressure ?I am going to recheck oil level in the morning and see if its low .any ideas or sugestions woukld be greatly appreciated

If there is no oil pressure it will only run a few seconds and it will turn off, then it will flash a code. Check your connection at your dip stick plug.

okay thanks I will check that in the morning , what is the right amount of oil to put in that engine is it 3litres or 3.8 litres I was always told 3 litres

I dont know the exact amount but I know its like almost 4 quarts. I fill to the full line.
