I have studded my tracks in the past and tried to stay with the rule of thumb 1hp= 1 stud
Well I bought my 07 attak already studded with what seems to me to be A LOT of studs
Every set of lugs has 4 studs in what seems to be a random pattern of single and double backers.
My question is should I leave all 192 in the track or take some out?
i would think all that rotating mass is not helping but will I risk damage to the track by taking some out?
Thanks in advance

to your question I have removed studs and not had troubles with the track all studs up the middle like that I would run it as is and see how you like it.

Looking at the pictures you posted I see some studs in the very center of the track. I would take a look at the shock mount area to be sure the backers from those center mounted studs are not causing trouble.
Is that an Attak or extended Apex? It looks different than I recall than the underside on my Attak.

It is an Attak I will take a look for damage this weekend.
I hope to be installing my new to me heat exchanger.

Make sure you check those SQUARE single backers, after every ride. If they turn 90 degrees, and you ride with them like that very long, they will start digging into the track, and cut through it. I would never use a square single backer, and I never have, just for that reason, and yes, I have seen it happen many times.
You run whatever makes you happy. But if it was me, I'd replace all the single square backers with round backers. One less thing to worry about.

I have used single square in the past and I agree with you.
correct me if im wrong ,you should have 216 studs ,being an attack 136.> the more studs the more bite,no doubt these sleds throw it out
