so I bought that warranty and I think it’s pretty much useless for anything short of a full engine failure or something else catastrophic. My fan is smoked and I’m leaving for my vacation on Saturday need it now obviously. So I tell dealer it’s smoked naturally they don’t have one . Ok fine order overnight I’ll pay shipping and if you guys are swamped no problem I’ll put it in .they told me no can do sled must come in and be diagnosed by them before they can order part which will take WAY too long . Actually no dealer in N.E has a fan someplace in Michigan’s got one but of course I’ll have to pay for it. Hoping Travis has one used I can get my hands on waiting to here back from him

I would agree with this. My 2018 has the side panel graphics peeling. Covered under YES warranty? NOPE. Sled hasn't even been on the snow for 2 seasons and the lower graphics are peeling. If you got it for free like I did then fine but if you paid for it I feel your pain too...

Nothing but good luck with the Yamaha warranty. Maybe 3-4k in warranty work on my 2 vipers. Warranty never covers stickers mine peeled also but sat in the crate for 2 years.

YES has always been good to me. I think a lot of it has to do with your dealer. I think if your a I bought it from Steve’s because he was blowing them out but I live 3 hrs away so I take it to joes down the road. Joe might not work as hard to get your work under warranty. If you buy sleds, and other equipment/supplies from joe he will fight a little harder. IMO!

x2.
local dealer went to bat for me last winter to get the upgraded shock for the 16 apex xtx. i might buy the sled somewhere else but he gets all the service work, parts and acessories that i can throw his way. i always try to buy it there but he knows that i want what i want and i am not scared to go get it if he cannot get it for me.

I'd agree with this. Personally always use Port Yamaha for parts, accessories, maintenance items etc. When I bought my sled, they didn't have the sled I was looking for so had to go elsewhere, but Kevin always gets my other business. First person I went to regarding the graphic issue. He said normally if you would've bought the machine here we would cover it in house, but since this sled was used with the YES warranty, it wouldn't work out. Totally understandable, otherwise I'll have to call the original dealer it was bought from in Northern IL and see if they will do anything about it.x2.

Just always seems with the YES warranties that everything "varies" based on dealer, but it is what it is!

I have the YES warranty till Dec 2020. Has anyone had a thumb warmer repaired under warranty? Mine is cold, I know some they work well on some and others not so much, but this one is no heat at all.
