Zx2 info needed

Ive only had them for about 700 - 1000 miles and so far look brand new.... They also have an indention so you can tell when getting lower. Plus the cost is way cheaper. I want to say for 4 slides i didnt even pay 70 with shipping..

Well Zx2 suspension is bought and adapter plates are purchased. What is everyone using for rivet gun? I have done tunnel extension was able to use hand rivet gun I think I better get a air rivet gun for this job.

I used a hand rivet gun with long handles.. those cheap guns you buy that fit in your palm will not cut it...

Used a hand rivot gun and worked fine, mind you, you gotta man up and squeeze for all your worth but it works fine...

Lol wish i could man up more.. Since i broke two of the smaller rivet hand guns..

I found an air rivet gun for $44 good price that has good reviews. Going to pick one up when going to snow show.

Yep, save some grief and get an air rivet gun. I bent up 2 hand sets before smartning up and buying an air gun. Might even be able to borrow one in your area.

Ya I bought a long handled rivet gun. Long story short called store see if item was in stock they said yes. Arrived at store not in stock. I will just order one or buy one from ebay.

Just recieved Zx2 in mail. Few more questions just putting suspension together later. Should I use red loctite on bolts? What to use to keep limiter strap from moving thinking some pvc pipe? Any other info would be great before installation thanks again. What is everyone using to cover running board hole from clicker?

Just have to waite for 136 extension and adapter plate.

Locktite all bolts. I did. As for keeping The strap center I went and bought some clear silicone style piping that was just a little bigger Then the shafts. If you want pictures I'll post some but I think you get the idea.. as for clicker not sure because I had ec

Do you put the piping for the limiter on both shafts? just the top saft

Yes I made it long enough to cover entire shaft both top and bottom and cut the difference out(width of the strap). Make sense? Then place the two pieces on the shaft and both sides of the strap. Same thing for the bottom.

At work right now so I cant get a picture for ya. I'm sure someone has one or can find the post on this forum.

Rayone02.... did they give you a time frame for the extension? I was told Nov 9, sure hope it shows up this week, really want to get this thing together... I am putting on tunnel supports to cover the hole(i think)... I was also thinking of picking up a yamaha tuning fork emblem from ebay for there instead..
