ZX2 instal

I am getting ready to instal the ZX2 skid that I purchased a few months ago into my RX1. I want to go through and do everything to it while it is out of the sled. It is a fairly new skid in like new condition with only about 400 miles on it. From what I can remember from reading the many posts here about the ZX2 there are a few things that should be done to it. from what I can remember.

-Locktite bolts: Do I remove and locktite all of the bolts in the entire skid or only the mounting bolts when it gets installed?

-Do I used red permanent locktite?

-What are the torque specs for the bolts that I need to locktite?

-Instal rubber hose on the bottom shaft to keep the limit strap centered

From what I can remember that is about it, or is there more.

Initially they all get red locktite even the mounting bolts. Funny they come off fairly easy even with red locktite when you remove the skid for service if ever.

Most specs are 50 ft-lbs. Draw a line on the bolt heads once set so you can look at them periodically and see if any are loosening without dragging out the wrench.

Rubber hose or just hose clamps on either side of the limit strap work well to hold it down.

Enjoy IMO the best skid on the market or ever. I extended mine out to 151" this year for trail riding so I'm nervous i created a tank but excited if I didnt! LOL I have been running the 121" for over 5 years now. I have replaced 4 bogey wheels, and 2 sets of slides in about 5000 miles. I have also rebuilt the shocks once and got them revalved again at hygear this year hoping to get the skid 98% perfect up from 95%. Slight draw back and I do mean slight is performance in the stutter bumps is a little stiff, hopefully I got the right revalve this year and I will get it closer and with a 151" I'll see if there is any truth to 'bridging' the bumps.

Thanks for the info and tips. I can't wait to try this thing out this winter. What kind of tension should I run the track, The same as the stock, just tight enough so that it doesn't rachet?

On the tension I am always working in the 70 degree+ shop on it and I set it tight per ADB specs and then it gets on snow the suspension shrinks and there is a nice gap then. Never had a issue doing it this way.

There is a manual on this skid posted on here you should get it and read it. Nothing from a previous metal skid applies to the ZX2. There is also some set up information on the limit straps, preload shocks, etc. They are pretty much spot on from how it rode when I tried various settings.
