DigitalFusion said:anyone know off hand what the warranty is on these things? I'd kinda like to get them to send me a new bolt just so all the bolts on the skid have the same head size. The replacement I had to pick up has a 17mm head instead of 15mm.
I have a brand new skid. The warrantee is only for one year.
You mentioned earlier in a post that you torqued to 50 lbs which is correct.
Personally I think the grade of all the bolts are less than perfect, so I up graded all my skids bolts to over exceeded the factory specs by one grade point. Plus red loctight and I check the torque before each outing.

I put a horizontal mark across each bolt head with a jiffy marker so that I can tell with a quick glance if a bolt is spinning or coming loose. I picked that tip up in this forum. I believe it was Kinger that mentioned that tip.

It might have started to come loose. Mine did the same thing when I had about 200 miles on it, I used nord-lock wedge locking washers,

with loctite tightened at 40ft/lbs, never happened again. I have about 6 or 7 thousand HARD miles on it since then

Definitely! They use them on jackhammers. I read about them on here somewhere. Since I've used them, I never had a bolt come loose since. They're a little pricey but it's well worth it.

Initial setup was dead on. Only had to make a slight adjustment when I put the stainless y pipes on. Highly recommend it.
