Hey guys,

I installed my ZX2 according to instructions and notice that I only have 1/8" - 3/16" clearance between the lug on my track and the tunnel protector.

Anyboby else that has one installed, please let me know what clearance you have. 1/8" seems awefully tight.

I am running a Ripsaw 1.25" track. Sled is a 121" Apex. I can guarantee a 1.5" track would rub.

Did I do something wrong?

I have a 07 rtx and the kit they sent me is for a rx1. They say its the right one but it is 100% not. Now they are looking at a 07 rtx and are going to get back to me. I decided to put a mono shock in. I have a gt and it rides really good.

I checked my stock 06 Apex ER and with the stock ripsaw track have 3/8" clearance measured right above the big wheels.

Yes, I went to a Yamaha dealer last night and checked out a stock machine. It was about 3/8". That 1/8" that I have is gonna be really tight.

Anyone that is installing the ZX2 should do this...I think.

When you install the mounting plates you have a little "fudge factor". You should make sure you move the plates as far down as you can before you rivet them in. If you do this, you may gain another 1/8".

Again, I'm only talking about 1/8" so keep it in mind. You really can't go much more than that because you wouldn't be able to install the bolts because the heads would hit the foot rests.

I really can't redo mine because all of the holes are drilled. I would need new mounting plates to do this.
