Timbersled sold out awhile ago to Polaris awhile ago, they want the snowbikes. Last yr I picked up a 08 Nytro that has mtn tamer rear suspension. It needed some bushings, I called them up. They told me to find local dealer, as they didn't seem interested in helping me. Found a dealer that...
Its becoming the same in Western Canada, the market is flooded with them. People are trying to sell 240/270 MCX turbo Nytro's for $5000 Cdn dollars & there not moving either.
Im going to guess it belongs to Climbmax, as that appears to be his MCX Viper in the back ground. Plus I heard from a little birdy that he was building one. Awesome looking build, nice to see Yamaha style chaincase, Yamaha oil tank & the good old powerhouse 4 cylinder. Nothing beats that...
I looked my Yamaha book, 8GL-000015 is the start of the serial number run. Yours is 4896 after the first one was installed in the FX10X model, assuming that's base model sled. I cant tell what year yours is, but the mag housing gasket is the same from 2008 to 2015. I looked the gasket up...
I know this isn't what you want. I noticed on buddies nytro that was stock other than skinz hood(its so ugly looking), the heat that just rose out of it. So I brought the instrument panel vent from MountainTech Ind instead, does the same job but looks totally stock. Couple mins of goggles...
Here is most nytro owners run in the mtns of BC. BWB primary spring, 14.5 rollers, weight is up to you & your hp level keeping rpm in check. Typcially 70 grams to 80 grams of weight depending on boost level. Bolts, pins, etc not included Secondary helix of 47 degree, EPI purple spring...
Same as Ken said, 1-6. Run 47 degree helix with purple EPI spring. Have this in my RX1 & Nytro, both mtn sleds turing 162 tracks. No belt issues with either of my sleds. Been on a turbo Yamaha since 2004, using oem belts.
great to see the talents you have there. wish i knew how to turn a lathe even on, guess will have to stick to turning wrenches. front end looks to be a polaris.
Does anybody have a better setup than the mcx breather box uses? Im having some condensation issues with it. I know its not antifreeze, cause it does not taste sweet. It tastes like nothing. Thanks for any ideas.
