OK, this is a very simple fix. Since the snowflap doesn't need the full length (plenty of length at the cut line) why would anyone go through the trouble of "watching out" for it when backing off a trailer or in deep snow. Just simply cut it off at the line. The flap looks even, functions...

The RTX just flat-out rips!!! It does so stock so I've gotta believe if you, uh hum, maybe sorta added an Ulmer stage 2 clutch set up will be even that much better. Nice choice! You'll be pleased! :Rockon:

I put Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in my Attak. A search on them here will get you info on the part numbers, etc. Significant difference from the stock bulbs for just over $30. An excellent upgrade. They're easy to find as well. I got mine at the local Wal-Mart.

You're right about the scenarios you described. What I'm suggesting eliminates them. In a perfect world we could all be in a nice flat and packed snow area when we need to back-up. Unfortunately, those situations aren't always there. When reversing direction on or off trail it is not...

In my first 230 miles I got just over 16 mpg. I figured it would be a little less through the break-in so I was certainly happy with that.

By all means, go if possible. To ride the unmarked logging roads would require someone familiar with them. However, there is plenty of good trail and bed riding to be had north of Caribou. Have at it and have fun.

I put Simmons skis on my Attak. I put them on my Warrior a few years back and found a big difference. The biggest thing you'll notice is it won't dart like the stock ones do. Other fixes would be to get the dual-runner carbides or other aftermarket ski. There are several threads on this...
