I recently missed out on a 2024 ZR9000RR a few weeks ago. A dealer in Minnesota sold their dealer demo with 1600 miles on it for $11,900. I saw it on FB Marketplace and the ad was just put up. I looked the dealer up and called them immediately. Oh, we have a guy coming to get it now. It was marked sold within an hour. Story of my life! LOL!
I too am a long time Yamaha rider, I have friends and family that are all Yamaha. They are virtually the same machine other than colors, graphics and clutches. The one positive I look at is Cat is still around. Will that make a difference years down the road, I am not sure? The one thing I notice when snooping Marketplace is, it seems the Yamaha versions are generally listed for more $$ than the Cat versions.

It seems the Yamahas have brought more money over the years. Probably due to the lack of worry involving flying clutches and the loss of your left foot??

I have a set of the 2019 SRX torsion springs for the rear that give it the lowered stance, if you are interested. I ran them for around 2500 miles on my 17 LTX SE.Off what year thundercat?

That has been my issue on the clutches. I saw so many people post on exploded TCat clutches this last winter it’s down right crazy. Looks like Cat has a steel spider next season. Is that their conclusion that the spider is starting the destruction? How about the weak cover? Was that addressed? My guess is that a good portion of those issues were with tuned ones?It seems the Yamahas have brought more money over the years.
