End of season review

Can you take a picture of the cover of the manual you pulled that from? I have an online manual from Yamaha (screenshot posted) and a hard-back manual I paid $75 (!) for from Yamaha showing that 137" models with a 1.25" track have 21/41 gearing. Apparently there's also a 137" 1.75" model geared at 24/50.

Here it is

It would make sense the srx , le & se with 1 & 1.25 tracks would all have 21-41

yes, the 1 and 1.25 track models all have 21-41 gearing, the models with larger tracks are 24-50

Snowcaine my gt came with 21/41, interested to see what you have but I’m pretty sure it will be the same.

Numbers are stamped on the gears so no need to count the teeth.

Opening it up you will know.
I had to call my dealer to order a part, so I asked him and he says they are 21/41 this year.

Updated today by North West Yamaha. Oil leak was due to poor quality silicone for a gasket on the tank, they are using a different silicone now to try and stop the problem, exhaust leak was a loose clamp as the exhaust has no donuts at the flange apparently. As to the rear skid, no answer on that yet. Also they replaced to the top gear, yes the SE with 1.25” track has 21/41 gears, the bushing was shot, also warrantied.

This has been my experience, 21/41 on hardback will pull 126mph speedo. 22/41 same conditions will pull 132 speedo.
I found the same result, i went back to the 21/41, the 22 seemed to take a bit of the fun out of the low end and upper 120's is fast enough for trail riding.

Got the sled back from the dealer. Oil leak was the silicon gasket leaking, they put a silicone on from General Motors that they are hoping fixes it. Exhaust leak was just a loose clamp, also found out upper gear bushing was toast at 3610miles. They didn’t have an answer for my track alignment issue. Said everything measured square and was true.

Last time I watched you at race your neighbor on Sunday a 205 tuned 900t pulled you off the line and you barely caught up before 660 so for being 100hp less I don’t think any one is crying .. I think that looks pretty good for the doo imho
Talked to one of the suppliers about boost options for my 2021 srx for next year , when I turned the conversation to where he was at with the skidoo. The first words out of his month was " you don't want to go there " lol . Hes done a lot of back to back trail testing boosted sleds , he said the handling alone of the 2020 sidewinder there is no comparison ....

Who ever that is, they won’t say their name but obviously know me. I’ve never ridden one of those 900T, I don’t like them based on looks alone, I have driven 850 ski doo and 850 Polaris, the ski doo is nothing special even with aftermarket spindles and skis and front shocks like the one I drove, the stock Polaris axys was much much much better from factory. When he says barely beat at 660 it’s several lengths, and the 900T does come out of the hole at least 2 in front as they have impressive hole shot with 6 chisels per bar, just don’t have the power down the stretch. Would a tuned 900T take a stock sidewinder...I think it would be close but a clutched sidewinder with traction and that’s a win for the wider I feel. I know the handling on trail is not there, it’s lighter and nimbler big brother is nervous and twitchy and not comfortable to ride fast, it does have a great rear skid that transfers and rides really good but that’s about all it has. The one thing I hate about my sled is it pushes in loose snow because of the stupid tuner 3, either going with Yamaha’s new stryke ski or C&A pro, depending on pricing of the stryke ski. Once that issue is fixed the wider with premium shock package is an all round winner.
Then these guys like buddy come on a Yamaha site and go on about how impressive a loss is, if they wanna continue to think ski doo is best on the snow then they should stay on doo talk where they are a big deal, not out here where the short comings are noticed and talked about. Are there sleds at the local race that can wax me. You can bet your #*$&@ there is but those are not trail sleds. I ride to the race and can ride 300 miles immediately after on pump gas, no changes to be made other then to add some fuel I do race on less then 1/4 of a tank

I would get too worked up on buddy busting your chops about the 205 tuned doo!!! So the doo got a better hook up that time!! Put a tuned 998 or even a stock against a tuned doo! If you can hook up say bye bye to the doo!!

I flashed a bunch of doos and rode with a few and they don't stand a chance.
I haven't seen the hurricane 220hp riot flash for the 900t in action yet but i am guessing it will still not have a chance against a mild 998 tune such as 225 sm tune

you got it spot on Winder 506..doo's are ugly, cant steer as good as a SW, SW pushes in deep snow because of those tuner 3's, the Doo's have nice rear compliance but don't have the power down the stretch..I've noticed the same thing.
I went on Doo Talk to see what they are saying about the tracks that come prestudded...it's not so nice on that site...TY folks are so much classier and knowledgeable...I won't be getting off my SW any time soon.
