Well gentleman I think my issues are fixed :jump: I adjusted the chain again and the gear whine is tolerable, getting better the more miles I put on. The hy-fax has worn down enough also and is quiet. The track being loosened up one full turn helped quiet the roar it makes and no ratcheting...
Thanks, still no reply? I will tighten it and back it off a 1/2 turn and try that. I think the hy-fax noise is going away because I have wore the end off by now. I had my ear down by the chain case and that is the noise now. So maybe adjusting it again like stated will take care of it. I hope so.
I have a set with 400 mils on them. Undamaged just replaced them with USI 201's. Send me a PM if you are interested. I am not sure what they are worth?
Does your sled make the same noise? I know you have been following my thread. And seem to want to help also. Thank You I have a internet friend :jump: Just kidding I really hate computers but they are like a book of knowledge.
Thank you John. I will be in Land Of lakes next month, no sure how close that is to you? Thanks again for the offer. You never know I might show up if not to far away?
The noise is still there but has gotten better by tightening the chain bolt finger tight, rubber pulled back and backing off 1/4 turn? I have read that is the way? Right? I wonder if synthetic oil would help? I have been sick so maybe my head cold is magnifying the sound ? I just know it was...
Sorry I state the facts. I would not be so pissed if all my post got to stay? I have time to do things once but I never have time to do it again. I guess I will wear ear plugs when I ride and test drive the next sled before I spend the money! If all Yamaha's make these noises I for sure will not...
Thank You Mr.Sled. I know now what to do if it happens again. I knew that was going down the wrong path. Had nothing to do with my posts? Correct?
Thanks again. :jump:
Why was it removed is what I want to know? It is better but I still think the chain case has to much noise? That is why I want my post back. I posted more info and questions.
I am not sure about reverse. I will try that though. I did not install the new slides, the dealer did that also. I am going to pull them back and cut a little more off. By loosening the track the noise got better? I ran out of time lastnight so I will know for sure tonight if its fixed.
I have never heard the track bottom out. I was hearing a ratching sound under excelleration that is why I asked them to tighten the track. I also had them adjust the center shock tighter. The sled pulls and steers awesome. Just mad because I hear a new noise that I never heard before and they...
