    My Summer Toy

Here is my Summer toy. The RX1 was an easy choice as a Winter toy.

    03 skid rebuild finished

Yeah, this was a work in progress. I ordered a few parts, then the more I tore in to the project the more worn parts I found. In for a penny, in for a pound :o| I was half way through when I started to realize if I had put up another $800-900, I could have gone after market. On the bright...

    03 skid rebuild finished

After weeks of waiting for parts, and learning my way around wrenching on a sled , my skid is finally rebuilt. What a PITA! A little history: I am new to sledding and bought a 03 Rx1 with 15,000 klms (9000 miles) on the clock (hey the price was right). As you can guess, the skid was in rough...

    warning lights reset?

I don't know about sleds, but with bikes the warning codes reset themselves after you fix the problem and the computer turns on (runs a diagnostic check)with the first start up. Try fixing the problem and then disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes. This should reset the computer...

    Heated shield.

I just bought an HJC helmet and the electric sheild package states 1.3 amps at 13.6 volts. I installed a jack on the tank opposite the ingnition key and ran the wires to the right side cover and tapped into the brake light circuit. I fused this curcuit with a 3 amp fuse. Hope this helps.

    Heated shield hook-up

I hooked mine into the tail light lead under the right side cover. I fused the line with a 3 amp fuse ( the visor manufacturer claims 1.3 amp draw max). I didn't like the idea of hooking the heater outlet directly to the battery and having it 'live' all the time, and this way if I blow a fuse...

    '03 Suspension Maintenance

I am in the process of redoing the bushings et al. on my 03 skid. The W arm is a total mess: cracks in the welds, cracks in the metal, bushings totally gone, shaft toast. I considered having the W arm welded, but the bearing races are worn along with the shaft, so I just ordered a new W arm...

    Fitch Fuel Catalyst

Well, I think I understand one plausable scientific explaination for positive results experienced by users based on this info submitted by Snowsweat. Zinc has been used for decades in healthcare as an broad spectrum antimicrobial/antibacterial agent. Since there is zinc in those pellets, Fitch...

    RX Seat Jack

I have got one on order from Royal Dist. It looks straight forward as a bolt on assembly, but I will let you know when it comes in (this week, I hope).

    Fitch Fuel Catalyst

I too would be interested in hearing the results of the tests done in the last year. Not to stir up trouble with my first post, but for those of us who are old enough to have seen one 'snake oil' product after another, it is hard to take these miricle products too seriously. In 40 years, I...
