Shocks sent off to Pioneer on Friday....the main shock from the viper has some nice needle bearings instead of the cheapo plastic grommets that are usually crushed. Hope to get them back this week.

Did you try to do the same thing...but in a viper rebuildable shock into a RX1? Is it worth doing or forget about it?

As long as the diameter is the same (retainers work), I will keep the RX 1 spring. Sled is in VT, viper skis is in NJ...will find out this weekend.

Removed my main skid shock on my 03 RX 1 and found a non rebuildable shock. I have a 02 viper skid with shocks and they are rebuildable. Spoke to Pioneer and they said they would swap out the main (after rebuilding) with the viper and rebuild the RX1 front shock. Any reason this won't work...
