Shocks sent off to Pioneer on Friday....the main shock from the viper has some nice needle bearings instead of the cheapo plastic grommets that are usually crushed.
Hope to get them back this week.
Removed my main skid shock on my 03 RX 1 and found a non rebuildable shock. I have a 02 viper skid with shocks and they are rebuildable. Spoke to Pioneer and they said they would swap out the main (after rebuilding) with the viper and rebuild the RX1 front shock.
Any reason this won't work...
I had about 1800 miles on the belt before it shredded. I thought they discontinued the 00 belt and I did not have a choice to get the older style belt. I also have a SX Viper that still has the mounted spare so I can use it for the spare on the RX1 if that is any advantage.
Should I...
My belt started shredding over the weekend. What do people use for replacement belts? Yamaha or ?? This is a stock machine used for trail riding but will hit 100mph on a short lake nearby.
Suggestions?
Thanks....
A few other factoids....I've had this sled for two seasons. The reverse issue reared its head at the end of season 1. Adjusted per manual over the summer and it worked for maybe one weekend. So I used the manual reverse process...but this thing is way too heavy.
On the bulk head...
I purchased the set from Rec-Lift...any set up instructions on springs/dampers?
13mm sway bar...worth the cost?
Risers....??
Taller seat....??
Inch by inch or $ by $.
Can I take the linkage off and manually push it to confirm if my reverse gear is gone? My sled did take a hit last year and ended up replacing the left bulk head. Would this have any impact on the adjustment? Just thinking of other issues...like if the motor is twisted slightly. It runs and...
I have an 03 RX 1 with 1800 miles on it. When I put it into reverse, I have to hold it to the left side of the sled to get it to stay in reverse and that its good for getting it off the trailer only. Once on the trail, all you hear is grinding. I've adjusted the rod per the manual and ready to...
From reading this post, it sounds like its better to spend the money on the front end vs the rear. Shocks first and then what? I do trail riding and my RX1 really beat me up last year.
Thanks

I replace my left side bulk head without removing the motor. The dealer and used parts place said it was not possible, but it did come apart and assembled ok...my only mistake was when I drilled out the rivets, I hit the water pump housing with the rivit stub when I punched it out and it...
