My 07 RTX does it too. I find that after burning the hyfax some the slides wear much better. I put 2000 miles on about 1/16 inch. I use a 10 mm open end wrench and as long as you can't fit it over the hyfax your good to go.
Sound wise they should be close. I have the super Q and if you keep the revs down it isn't too bad either. I wanted to keep the stock look so went with the super Q.
Search You Tube, lots of hits.
I like mine both for the soft padding for the knee's and the wear factor. To each their own. Mine are skinz and when I bought their exhaust it didn't come as pictured so they sent me the pads for free. Nice people to deal with.
I had a similar problem, intermittent battery problem. Would start fine and 1 hour later be dead. It turned out is was the battery. Have them load test it and work toward warranty. I know I know but my dealer did warranty my battery. Worth a try.
PS Don't forget to check the connections (not...
The clicker is compression (how fast the skid goes down). Keep it as soft as you can. Also keep the middle spring (front skid) as soft as you can. Turn up the clicker only when you are bottoming out too much. Also I run my front floats at 35 psi, tried the 50/60 psi but went back to the 35psi.
jakeho I would not worry about it. It sounds like it was water in the tank. Always fully warm it up with every start up. When you turn the key so the lights on the dash come on you will hear the fuel pump(under the gas tank).(before you engage the starter) Always a good idea to listen before...
Shouldn't hurt anything, the trouble could be in getting it to fire. If you get gas in it right away the warm motor should turn over fairly easy. A cold one might need a boost.
My battery died last year. Only problem I ever had with the sled. I do have a optimate 3 and it said the battery was fine. My dealer took out the battery and put it on their commercial charger/desulfater and it said the battery was toast. It would work one start and then one hour later be dead...
I put my exhaust on in the second year but I don't think it should matter. Other then you won't be easy on it because you will be flipping the throttle all the time to make her sing. lol Enjoy the sled !!!!
My 07 RTX WITH reverse came filled to the Standard line and that's were I leave it. 4000 miles and no problems. Full synthetic and I opened up the grooves in the cap to help the venting, as per this site.
I don't want start anything but did the dealer say why it wouldn't start. My dealer told me to stay away from full synthetic because of the starter ring in the starter. The full synthetic causes the ring gear to not engage. I don't know why but my dealer said it came threw in a memo.
I have...
I use the end of the bar to hang off too but not on the throttle side. Will start looking at walmart for a mirror. Can you bend it in to put the cover on. Looks like you could. Great idea , thanks.
I know this doesn't help you but I started wondering what my Skinz super Q looked like. They weld the pipes individually. I wonder if it will make a difference. About 2000 miles on mine so far.
