    2011+ owners input

Ya it's just the getting started part, it always seems to take an extra second to fire up. They were having these issues with the R6 and most of the guys said they held the key for a second after the bike started and it solved the issue like some have said here.

Adding a powercommander on a bike makes it seem sluggish and hard to start. I'm guessing this isn't helping nor is it the only issue you guys are having.

How are you guys measuring sag?

    Shock Life

Yep, I'm on page 234 in the nytro forum, been doing my homework for the last 2 weeks lol. I'll invest in one once I've gotten the shocks redone and the skid greased properly. I can deal with a bit of sag but 1" of rebound and 5-6" of sag isn't right, feels like it's bottoming out just sitting...

    Shock Life

Just got off the phone with John Sherrard at Accelerated Technologies and it seems like the shocks blown (1" of rebound) and the skid wasn't greased often enough, there's a TON of stiction. When I lift up to top it out and then push down and let it rebound there's roughly 5" between where it...

    Shock Life

Lol I have nothing to "be used too", just bought it and there's no snow yet but I don't want any issues when it comes, or atleast as little issues as possible. I'll take some measurements tonight when I get home.

    Shock Life

I noticed on my xtx when I push the rear down it doesn't come back up. If I lift from the bumper to top out the travel and push down it goes down a good 8"or so and doesn't bounce up, seems like I can almost bottom it out without it rebounding back up. I know there should be a bit but this...

    Removing studs?

Ok I found the kit which isn't on their website so I'll contact them today. I did do a search but I got a few hundred pages of results. Google actually narrowed it down much better, thanks for the help guys.

    Removing studs?

So I just purchased an 09 XTX and have been doing my resarch (this site is awesome!). There's 171 studs in the track and right down the middle where the shock is, can I remove these without having my track get ruined after a few rides? They look like they're making contact with the schock...

Installing camshaft/chain timing UPDATE help, is it off ??

I just re read what's going on. It sounds like everything is good. The crank will be able to move a few degrees before the cams move. If you crank the motor over by hand and get the crank to do a full rotation and not lock up your not hitting valves, unless these motors have a big PTV clearance...

Installing camshaft/chain timing UPDATE help, is it off ??

There should be a pin count between marks on the cams. If you have your cam chain taught on the front and your cams lined up with the head and your pin count right any slack left should be taken out when your tensioner is installed and has pressure on the chain. Sorry if this was already...

    New guy new ride

Well I'm hopefully going to have my suspension guy that works on my race bike take a look. He also helps to develop Elka suspension for yamaha sleds so I'm sure he can get me sorted out. Ill get some pictures up after I finish doing a clean down and figure out how to post them here.

    New guy new ride

The previous owner installed dual carbides on the oem skis so I'm going to see how they are before I do anything. I have a chipped wheel so I'm going to see about a full kit. It already has the 4 wheel kit in the rear and the extra wheel at the front of the skid but the sliders are pretty worn...

    New guy new ride

Well I come from riding dirtbikes and feel that this is the right style for me. I'm located in southern Ontario but I don't mind the drive if the price and sled are right. I'll be driving close to 4hrs one way to look at the 09 with 2500km on it, he's asking a great price and because I don't...

    New guy new ride

I'm looking to buy my first sled. I rode when I was a kid but now I can afford my own and want to get into the sport. I've decided on a Nytro but not sure what model I should get. I've read quite a bit but there's just too much information to try and absorb. I don't have an unlimited budget so...
