Anyone use a Powercommander on an APEX with boost?

Have you tried just adjusting the fuel ? There is a way to.adjust idle and.low fueling with the Speedo pod. If its running lean or rich on startup this will solve the problem. It will even solve a mild hesitation when you translate from idle to low rpms. Fuel pressure builds up prior to...

    Plastic guage rod bearings

In the manual it said to have a .006-.015. With plastic guage it pushes the bearing to one side and takes up the clearance for both sides. Does this mean that it would need to be double the results? With Black bearings I get .020 and with blue .015 using plastic guage. But this method is...

    mcx mapping

What I want to do is upload the mapping file from the mcx bow in my sled to my computer without the use of a mcx display. This is possable but I don't know how. From what I know is that there is a port on the bottom that probably is used to upload and down load the mappings. Also threw the...

    gen 2 mcx box mapping

There is a port on the back of my mcx box. It must be used to upload and download fuel mappings. Its only for mild alterations and loading tried and tested mappings. Don't worry about it. Someone must know how to pull the file off the box......anyone

Strongly thinking Turbo or Super Charger this year

Turboed nytros are a total blast. I had the chance to drive my buddies mcx 240 and mcx200 nytros. They have tons of pull and you will.have no problem with your buddies. But don't expect a bolt on trail turbo nytro.to pull from a apex Turbo. I haven't seen a stock nytro beat a apex on a strait...

03 RX1 Bender stage 2 turbo - ASPHALT and now the questions

I use break cleaner. set boot in place and spray around it, then push it on. It works awesome and no oily residue. I used to do this with motocross hand grips too. never needed glue to keep them from slipping.

Thanks, I do get that alot. (told what I want to hear from those guys.) Thanks, now that I think more and more about decking the block, its not for the right resion. Like you siad its the detonation Im afraid of happening again.

welding the block for higher hp reliability.

This is what I want to do to my motor. I sold my stocker and am building up my modified motor. The reason I took it out was only because one cylinder went .010 out of round. Its at CV tech being replated, but I dont want the same thing to happen again.

welding the block for higher hp reliability.

I heard some guys weld the block. What part of the block do they weld? It would be great if there was a way to support the cylinder up top where they can become oval. Is this what they do?

1200 turbo 12 psi vs apex turbo 12 psi

Anybody been there done that? I have a few buddies going with the skidoo 1200 FPP S2 and MCX S2 kits. On the trail and drag race how do they compare against one another? both on pump gas and running 12 psi. :4STroke:

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

Can't deny I was at 10700 with the built motor and 10100 with the head shim motor. Both have the exact same set up. It took 7 g less to get it near 10500. Fine I don't k.ow exactly how much HP less it has but it has less. About 600 rpms less. Ever try lowering your boost 5 psi? It will run about...

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

The head shim motor will come up as more HP with that calculator . It wont take into consideration the better burn and what that does to the actual HP numbers with a engine with low compression pistons. The low compression piston motor made more HP about 20-25 HP at the same boost. I've talked...

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

I'm torn between leaving this motor in or building back up my motor that has all the internal goodies . I want to leave this motor because I went to all the trouble putting it in. So if its true and a head shim motor builds the same ammount of power as a lc motor then where did the 7 grams of...

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

I had to take out 7 G of weight to acheve 10500RPM and the built motor would push all that weight to 10700RPM ! This is quite a HP difference. I can feel it also, there is a difference in power now. Kinger its making much more power, it amounts to over 8% with your therory Thats about 20-25HP

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

Nothing was changed on the on the sled except the engine. The head shim gives around 10.6:1 its the MCX head shim.

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

ok I dont dissagree with you on that point. but when you turn up the boost every psi makes a difference . Im not sure its 100 or 200 rpm but lets say its 200 rpm per psi. its still 30 hp.

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

600 rpm ammounts to about 6 psi and thats about 60 hp. Im pretty sure its about 100 rpm per psi. Im not 100% sure tho.

Head shim vs LC pistons (Real life comparison)

And it was alot more than 3 grams. And it still only revs 10500 not 10700. I will weight the weights in it tonight. the old ones were 106 G . I belive these the head shim motor is around 94G
