Best way to fix it, transfer more weight up front and pull hard left off the line with your body - you can't do much about it. There is a lot of weight inside that motor spinning - a hell of a lot more than the 2 cylinder - 2 strokers.
Any drag racer will tell ya - skiis off the ground...
QC - it's not just greasing it - you have to replace all the bushings too and metal collars - all of mine and two buddies were fried in 1500 miles. We all got zerks installed and no problems after that.
That's another 40+ bucks in parts. We'll worth having the zerks installed.
Models offered
Pol 31
Yam 23
Cat 38
Pol has 4 models that are same everything - just different track length choices.
Cat has 4 as well that are just track length related.
Track length options is an area that is most commonly complained about with the new Yams.
Yam is limited in...
05RX1 ridden hard always got between 12-13 mpg - there was a poll a while back - most people got 15 mpg or less. In 3200 miles - I honestly don't remember ever having to add any oil. did an oil change once a year.
I weigh 200 without gear - I had no problem bottoming that skid out on the stiffest setting - even move the collar on the shock to the stiffest point (bigboy spring was on backorder ) - mine crumbled like cake.
Transfer rod is up the bottom middle of the skid.
This pretty much sums it up:

Literally none of these problems exist on the 06. Yam did a good job of addressing the problems with the 05.
RedRX - they made over 20 part changes from 05 to 06 - most were structural (not performance related). Big boy spring will help a ton - but not having zerks in the skid anywhere kills the bushings every year if you put on 1500 miles or more.
You can gamble with an 05 or you can have peace of...
If you get an 05 - and it hasn't been updated - make sure you do the updates - honestly I would just stay away from an 05.
The 06 and newers mostly need a stiffer spring if your more than 190 lbs. and ride even somewhat aggressively.
Expect resale to drop similarly.
for example: An 05 RX 1 in KBB now after 3 seasons is 5905.00 and new I paid $8300.
06 Apex - after 2 seasons $6865.00 - if i remember correctly people were paying around 9200.00 for them.
According to this, the RX held its value better. But it doesn't...
save yourself some $$$
Assuming the Turbo is somewhat dialed in - the only thing you have to worry about with the 05 is the rear skid - if you ride hard and it hasn't been updated you will likely have problems.
Front springs you just get the skiis off the ground and loosen the collar at the top of the springs.
Sway bar with adapters around $100 I believe - I just put the 13 mm on my 05 RX and it makes a good difference. You just unbolt the old one and bolt on the new one.
I don't know much about...
First try a 13 mm swaybar with adapters, soften your front springs a little. That will help quite a bit.
Newer sleds are tippier in general because of the increased suspension travel and more forward positioning. Only way you are going to get the flatter cornering of the older sleds is to...
According to that then 17.5 lbs should be safe - 50/50 of 110race/92pump gets you over 100 octane - correct? I assume you can avg the two octane levels - or does averaging not work correctly with octanes.
The calc puts 22 lbs at 104.5 oct for the RX - at that point it makes sense to run...
