Thanks for the seat of the pants feedback...I just pulled the trigger and bought the reverse kit with the 20/40 gearing in it.
Its coming in the mail so I suppose I'll see soon how it works out...sounds like it'll work well.

Heck yeah... I know about the OFT bushings.
I just changed my pathetic, worn, sloppy, piece-o-junk, plastic bushings on my steering system with OFT oilite bushings with aluminum milled blocks and dont why I waited so long!
It took up so much slop in my steering system it was simply amazing...
Yes, as a matter of fact it was the 2011 model. He raved about the awesome handling, fit, finish and feel.
Just couldnt understand how they could blow something so simple as hand warmers. :o|
Wow...according to that chart and the elevation I ride at (3,200-5,500) I should be at 21 or 22 and 40.

It seems as though its revving its guts out now when were gettin on it going down the logging roads now.

The author has a strange style...writing everything in "Third Person"?
At any rate....as a fellow Harley rider that has almost been taken out by "Cagers" (nickname for in-attentive car drivers) too many times to mention, I can say its awesome to see him make a great recovery like...
I was out in the garage all weekend prepping my Apex Mountain for a three day weekend sledding trip next weekend.
Did an oil change & filter change, changed chain case oil, got the Yamaheater wired correctly, installed OFT Oilite Bushings in my steering stem/shaft, etc, etc...
Then I...
Hardest part of the job is when those handy dandy little nutclips fall off of your headlight assembly and fall down in the black hole that is the chassis/engine assembly!
Good luck finding those puppies when you drop one..ask me how I know!
:die
Yep...Doo mounts, or Poo mounts.
I used Poo mounts on mine aft of that area, due to the fact that Poo parts are so plentiful and cheap around here.
You could always use longer bolts with a washer stack up as a spacer of sorts...just be careful how much leverage your exerting on the rails.
In the future, just tell your local Yamaha dealer to sell you a filter for a Yamaha R1 streetbike (crotch rocket).
Its the same engine and uses the same filter.
