Chances are, when you added the heavier spring, you made the weak compression, and especially the weak rebound dampening worse, or more noticeable from your shock. Our shocks from the factory don't have stiff enough dampening, with the addition of a heavier spring, it compounds the problem...

Re: 07 apex gt not bottoming out I have an 07, and my sled would bottom if the wind blew hard enough.... Now it's great with Bruce's revalve and the 6.1 spring.

13 mm bar It was a bit noticeable, it seemed if I set my control rod for transfer, it would still lift the ski. I think the uncoupling of the rear skid contributes to the ski lift a bit. Was worth the money, I'd say.

Re: pitting Uhhh, mr. Olav Aaen tells me to use emery, as scotchbrite "polishes" the clutch surface and makes the belt slip. My experience has been if there is belt residue, that you don't have the time to clean up, the emery breaks through it, while the scotchbrite breaks it up and moves...

trails Trails around Coloma(town to wood lake) are junk. Bare, bare, bare. South and west, they were great on Sunday. The warm weather the last two days can't be good, but the groomers were out in Sun Prairie and Beaver Dam on Monday. Coloma-north, junk. Coloma-South, good to great.

I use Amsoil ATF, stuff works great, and the transition from forward to reverse and back again seems smoother. Especially when the chaincase is cold.

spring I bought the 6.1, I weigh 250 w/gear. I know it is the right one, cuz I can set it too stiff. Mid-length pre-load is perfect. I would not install this spring without revavling the shock, though.
