    N02 or lightweight skid?

Save your money, I know it is hard to do, but a turbo is the way to go! This is by far the best sled I have ever owned with the Turbo! You want to put money into your sled to make it better so you buy a light weight battery, light skid, light front end, light seat, K&N CEP filters ect.. All of...

    Saw Vector run Hillcross

Last weekend in Laramie Wyoming High Altitude Yamaha out of Cheyenne Wyo raced a 05 Vector in the hillcross. The Vector has a great hole shot and runs very strong. A hill cross is very demanding of any sled since the race is so rough, but the Vector handled it very well. 2nd in qualifyiing heat...

    light weight components

I bleed blue so I hate to say this but you need to put a polaris skid under your sled. My buddy lost 36Lbs off his mountain 151 and the whole sled is better. The new 05 Yamaha mountain skid looks very similar to the Pol. Go with the Holtz set up, it is much more durable than the MPI skid and...

Anyone run a RX Turbo in Utah last weekend?

I was just wondering if anyone ran or saw one run in Fairview Utah last weekend? That shoot out is supposed to have the bigest and baddest sleds around! I was just wondering how we did?

    Looking for other turbo buyers.

Information jtssrx, your problems are all worked out? I ended up buying a bender kit because I could not wait any longer. PM me and give me your Dyno #'s, I want to build a hillclimber for RMHC next year and I can't lose the weight with the Bender kit. Thanks!

Anyone run a turbo in Farview Utah?

I don't know if I spelled the name of the town right but I was wondering how the RX with a turbo did in Utah. That shoot out is supposed to have the biggest and baddest sleds around. How did we do? :drink:

what kind of race fuel for your turbo's?

I have the bender stage I kit without the Inner cooler and did not change my compression. I run 4-6lbs boost premium octane, 8-10 lbs boost with 3 gallons of 110 and 7 gallons of premium, 12 to 14lbs with 5 gallons of 110 and 5 gallons of premium. At the elevation I am running I have had no...

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

I'm a little more hard core, maybe a JACK & COKE! :P Tell us how it turns out. Spray is RIGHT! We may need your help sometime. This is exactly why I joined this forum. :D People are helpful and are willing to give advise, right or wrong but the problems always get solved.

What need set up my 04 RX Warrior for Big Horn, Wyo

What is your Jetting now? Stock jetting was too rich and the sled would bog down after it got warmed up. It has been very warm in Wyoming for this time of year, I would strongly recomend a shut off valve for your antifrezze to your carbs.

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

I used super glue to glue at first then after the TEEs were in I used 3M super weather adhesive, part # 08001 around the entire Tee to make sure it was sealed. The adhesive is yellow and runny so it will get into the cracks to make a seal, I used a tooth pick to make sure I got it everywhere I...

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

I think about an 1/8 of a quart, not much at all. I heard bad things about Amsoil, that you tend to burn more when you use that is why I was wondering about the Mobile Synthetic. My last 2 rides I burned very little if any oil, not enough to put more oil in. I was very pleased with the...

    Burning Oil???

When I was stock without the Turbo I never used (burned) any oil. I rode all last year and never had to put any in. My Mom and Dad, Brother in Law, Friend Kelly T. and friend Rob T. all have 2003 RX-1 Mts. and they had no problem at all. That is 6 (six) RX-1's with no problems, I can't explain...

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

I believe I had an air problem and there was too much oil pressure. The last time I went out with the oil line update and regluing the plastic Tees in the front of the carbs I did not burn any oil. What is the difference between the yamaha synthetic and like Mobile 1 synthetic oil?

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

Do you think a 5-30 synthetic or 10-30? I do know that sytnhetic oil will not break down like regular oil. I just want to be as safe as possible and something as easy as changing your oil to a heavier weight or synthetic is an easy method of preventive maintenance, I don't want to pass on...

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

I too burned about 1/2 a quart of oil on a 90 to 110 mile ride. With the resticter jet I barely burned any oil but I only went about 45 to 50 miles. I think it will help. Has anyone tried a heavier weight oil with the Turbo? The Yamaha 5-30 seems very runny like it broke down because of more...

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

HYERUP, For the oil I did the same as Spray but with a 130 jet, seems to work just fine. Glad to hear your closer. Did you have an air leak before you closed the pitot off, or did you clamp and glue at the same time? Running that kind of boost you better make sure you have good octane so we...

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

After I felt safe with my jetting I went to the CR8EK plug which helped with the pop and crackling. I gapped the plugs at .012. Bender is right more air the leaner, less air the richer. If you have your mains and pilot jets close all you will have to do is adjust the pitot jet. When you test...

    Bender Turbo in the mountains

I run 135 main jets and 17.5 pilot jets. At 7,200 ft I run a 270 to 340 pittot jet, depending on air quality. I do most of my riding up high, I unload at 9,000ft. I use a 400 or 420 pittot jet then go to a 500 or 600 on the hills at 11,000ft to 12,000ft depending on air. The 400 is very trail...
