Was the mileage good before you removed the air box? If it was, then you have some type of an air leak which would also explain the higher idle. Our o5 rage with 3000 miles on it would get 20+ mpg unless I rode it instead of my wife but either way it would always get better mileage than...
I have an 06 attack. I have been to Laramie,Wy twice and Togwotee once. The first time in Laramie I replaced the rivets in the weights. and I think I put in a new spring based on the dealers recommendations for 10,000 ft. The sled ran good. I could beat an 800 skidoo renegade on the trails...
I replaced my stock attak windshield with the medium one from the catalog. I don"t have any pictures but I can tell you it is a little bigger. It does protect your hands better but does not seem to direct the air any higher up on your chest.
wak :yam:
I can"t help you with the search online. I put a 1.5 intense track on my attak about a month ago. I am not a mechanic but I can take things apart and usually get them back together. I recommend having a helper. It took us about 3-4 hours with little problems. For me, taking apart and...
I took my 06 attak to Laramie last year. We rode 80% off trail and 20% trail . I replaced the rivets in the secondary . It was very easy and fairly inexpensive.
I picked up my replacement handle bars a week ago for $30 and then installed them myself with no problems.
If you pay more than $30, you are paying too much.
I put a heated seat on my wifes sled a few years ago. It worked really well but waterproof bibs are a must and the heater pad made the seat noticeably stiffer.
welcome and congratulations. Last year I decided on the attak over the crossfire. no regrets. You will find that the hardest thing about owning a new attak is waiting for the snow to fall so you can ride it.
I ride an o6 attak and my wife rides an 05 rage. They are both great sleds. Which one you buy would depend upon what ride you are loking for. The attak is a more ridder foreward style with noticably more power and the rage is a more sit down style but it is not by anymeans sluggish. The rage...
I agree a single place does not need brakes. For $250 it could be easier on your tow vehicle depending on how hilly the areas you normally go. I borrowed an older 4 place and wished it had electric brakes when it popped off the truck at 75 mph.
I have raced my cousin on his 04 f7 and can beat him from the start, in the middle, and at the top end. We have raced under many conditions with the same result. He won't race me any more. I have also raced my friend on his 800 renegadeand the only condition that I loose is when we race on...
I have both the a-arm guards and the skid plate. I installed them both myself. It is a little scary drilling out the the rivits for the skid plate but if you follow the instructions it is easy. I don't like the a-arm protectors for two reasons 1. the enclosed mounting hardware does not allow...
I will keep you posted for shure. This trip came up kind of fast. We will be back sunday because of family/work obligations. We went sledding north of Grand Marais,Mn this weekend it was great but when we left there was some freezing rain. but lots of snow on the ground. ;)!
I am going to somwhere by Laramie,Wy . The ski-doo boy set it up. I think I will make the changes to the clutch weights but not the gearing changes that the dealer recommends. I have done this to my arctic cats in the past and it seemed to work fine. It so hard to figure out if these changes...
I have the rhino 120. I use it for snowmobiling, fishing, and driving. It works well especally if others in your group have them. I like the fact that you don't have to carry two separate items (gps/radio). I have ordered the handlebar mount for my snowmobile which will make using it even easier
I have an 06 attak which I have ridden in Michigan and Minnesota. It is set up to ride purfectly there. This wednesday I am going to Wyoming and will set up the clutch for the altitude. I was wondering what anybody thinks about any other changes ( i.e front shock preload, limiter...
Hello madlar.
I have an 02 grizzly and an 06 attak. Please feel free to ask me any questions about either machines. I really like both machines. I ride atv with my cousin who has a honda foreman. We always go head to head in all kinds of riding. Deep water is only thing the honda does...
yup, the driveshavt was easy to replace. Just put a new stock one in last night. You are right, the driveshaft is relatively inexpensive to replace compared to the other things connected to it. :yam:
