I am looking to address the spinning bearing problem on the driveshaft while greasing the bearing. What i'm reading here for the best fix is to tap the shaft and use set screws and bearing loctite to secure the bearing. I was curious if anyone has done this without removing the skid. I was...
I have tightened my hoses because of leaks due to how lose they all were. Just when I think I got it figured out I find about 10 new drops. I guess I'm not alone on this issue
I know I've read here about others have antifreeze leaking on their new machines. I noticed several drips on the frame that the oil pan cover attaches to. It looks like it's coming from behind my primary clutch. I tightened the hoses but it still seems to get drips. Any ideas? Thanks mike
I just read the laws in Maine and under the "No Modifications" section it states that the modification would still be held to the allowed decibel rule. So what am I missing .... You can't modify your exhaust if it falls outside the allowed decibel noise level. I read nowhere in the laws that...
thank you all for your input and ideas.... I may just ride it and worry about it when I get stopped. I think the law on modified exhaust is interpreted the wrong way by the wardens. if its not loud then they should leave us alone, imo
I have a 2018 sidewinder which I installed the hurricane race bundle in ( 240,270,290 ). I also have the hurricane trail muffler which makes these tunes work perfect. I ride in Maine where the wardens are all over sleds with turbos. They want to see the exhaust and see if it's been modified. I...
I installed the 240,270 and 290 race bundle on my 18 sidewinder this year. It works unbelievable and has so much power. The only problem I'm having is the flash to pass button only works when it wants to ( usually for the 1st 30 minutes or so) then it won't shift through the tunes unless I do it...
I have the Elka stage 4 on my 18 sidewinder and the machine is now a sweet ride . I hit some big washboard bumps and the Elka shocks make it feel only slightly bumpy and they don't through me around
Thanks for info. I definitely tightened them more than 4# . I had it out today and other than the noisy clutch it seemed ok. I will back the bolts out and turn them around and use blue locktight and only tighten them a little past snug. I just hope they won't snap in the mean time.
So when you say don't over tighten bolts I should just tighten them a bit more than hand tight? I would think 4 # can't be much more than that right? I'm looking forward to the results of your shim kit.
I was curious to why the weights bolt and nuts are to be torqued to 4 pounds. Would it matter if I just tighted them up real good? They still have lots of wiggle room. I read somewhere that they should only be hand tight.
I have the pilots on my 18 sidewinder 137 . I feel the dual runner doesn't truly work for me. I have lots of push in corners and etc I know that I am actually only running on single runner until I turn but it feels like the outside carbide does very little. What are others using on their 6.9...
I have a quick question for anyone that can help. I have a Dalton helix 37/35 and blk and orange Dalton spring. I had thunder product heavy duty rollers in last weekend and took the sled for it's 1st ride since buying it. It is tuned with hurricane race bundle. I took it very easy on it and...
