I’ve heard a lot of guys talk about there belts basically breaking. Mine almost did but I caught it. Noticed a vibration. This was after a very long high speed run.

Good catch could have been a lot worse

I am curious if you had aligned your clutches prior to this belt problem
When I first got my sled my offset was just under 60mm. I put around 1000 miles like that. I then removed my inner washer which put me at 58.6mm. Haven’t aligned with the Hurricane tool but I would still like to.

I aligned mine with hurricane tool but can't get out there for another 2 weeks. Hopefully this tool will make the needed difference.

Tuned? Either way, in my opinion that's good belt life for a 200+ hp machine.

No tune on that belt. I am tuned now so I’ll see the comparison. I will say that many of miles were cruising miles. I wasn’t easy on my belt but wasn’t doing wide open long pulls. Until now lol.

I changed the title so people don’t think I’m bragging lol. Just sharing information is all.

I’m not ridiculing you, just pointing out with a turbo your belt wears thin, your set up is working great, YOUR NOT A BELT blower, under 1000 you might be! People seem to ride these until their belt blows must be some kinda honor to get the most out of a belt.

Nice to see another thread about belt longevity.
2500 miles on 1 belt is worth talking about on any high performance sled . Keep us informed on your belt life with tube upgrade.

Question: are you studded?

I was not studded on this belt but am now. We’ll see how things go. Cheers.
