That's it! I'm polishing my tunnel this weekend. Doing it full out. That's rediculous looking. You didn't do the skid rails too did you? Do you just keep wax on it to preserve the shine>??
I just picked up my shocks from Bruce at Pioneer. I just didn't want to spend that much on Hygear stuff plus I think hevalving will be a leap of inprovement for $240. What's to loose for that price. According to Bruce, the Nytro RTX Fox Floats are valved way stiffer then the ones on the Apex...
My RTX was a bit faster out of the hole and hooked harder Until I pulled the rear strap down one notch. If you're out to race people on a RTX then let the rear strap full out and wheelie all the way. You won't be able to turn on the throttle but it doeas hook harder. Don't know if this is...
I like your thread over the summer. That Apex looks sweet! ICE is a synthetic wax though isn't it, so it does protect although Kinda greasy when used on plastic? That guy used it on his seat it looks like. NUTS IDK Anyway. I saw that Meguires aluminum polish but went with Mothers. Glad I...
Now that I know what I'm looking for thanks everyons posts. I just googled plastic polish and scratch remover and several came up. I've listed a couple below. These look like not only they will restore, polish and protect my plastic on the sled but will restore clarity on snowmobile helmet...
You're right! I know it's plastic but here I am trying to get it to look like a fiberglass hood.. :o| I'm expecting to look as good as they used to but that's wxpecting way to much... You hit the nail on the head with the decal kit as well. Might be a bit expensice but it gives your sled a...
OK the ICE didn't make it look horrible but it seemed to accentuate the scratches instead of mask them like a good wax will. It also seemed to leave a haze on the finish. Weird because I use ICE on my other sleds with good luck, the ICE product just wouldn't wipe clean. I'll take another shot...
No doubt. What I did didn't make it better, that's for sure. I was thinking about buying some of Arctic Cat windshield scratch remover. I used it on my GSXR windshield and it worked great. Made it look new again. Nothing worked better. I guess I'll do some before and after pics. Tearing my skid...
I was detailing up my 09 Nytro last night and I was really frustrated with my results. Tried the Turtle Wax ICE on the plastic and it looked like hell. I used some polish on it first trying to get some light scratche out with not much luck. What other products / experiances out there are...
What about the ski lift situation here? I found that I was battleing flat handling, ski lift and harshness in the little stuff and they are to progressive.
I see Yami did something for the 2010 sleds hand warmers. Not sure what. Are they doing any offers to fix the crapy hand warmers on the 08 09 Nytro's. Does the foam really work that well? Sounds like a good idea.
Great post Gents! I'm planning on sending my shocks from my 09 RTX to Hygear myself but I'm a bit torn on how far to go with this. My biggest concern is the rear shock bottoming way way to much. Next the Floats are to progressive but I found the sweet spot where there wasn't to much ski lift...
I have a 03 REV X 800 HO and buying the so called 600 class Nytro I thought it would be the Ski Doo all the way. Not so! Even after riding my new 09 Nytro RTX, I still thought the REV was faster untill I dragged my friend next to me on my REV. The Nytro was faster. My REV has 144 picks, some...
