The power on the 2011 is similar to the 2006 model as the throttle is opened but the way it hangs open or lags when closing the throttle like vehicles with electronic throttle controls really bothers me.
Every Yamaha track adjuster I have ever seen has been installed with regular solid rivets. Just set them with a normal air hammer and anvil or use bolts.
You need the measurements for the 2010 and newer transfer rod. The 2005-2009 models are different.
I don't have the wrench or measurements for my 2010 either.
The remote mounted filter takes it from a protected area and adds multiple possible failure points and interference with other components in order to place it in an exposed (the nose cone is as protective as a milk jug) area which used to be good storage. No thanks.
I recommend moving the...
Wrong. A twist throttle allows a much more flexible variety of riding positions, you can grab it from any angle at any time. Maybe if you just stand straight up on the sled all the time it doesn't matter much but if you actively move around a thumb flipper is a handicap.
This is a kill switch with a momentary start button from a Yamaha sportbike. Its made to be out in the weather and the electrical pins slide right into the connector blocks.
I use a sportbike handlebar mounted kill/start switch. The apex has an impossible to reach key location so you had to pull the kill switch and reach around for the key start.
An Apex will start without oil, and automatically shut down in about ten seconds. Oil flow can be confirmed by looking into the tank through the dipstick hole with a light.
Check for fuel next. Listen for the pump and confirm fuel is coming through the return line to the tank.
You can remove all of the studs, an old track will start to lose more of them. If its far enough from an edge and can be trimmed to a round hole with no loose rubber it can be used for a while. Look at track porting.

Every broken driveshaft I have seen started cracking where the locking collar set screw on the drive sprocket next to the chaincase bears down. It is easy to slide the collar away and inspect that spot, then the collar can be rotated to put the screw at another location without removing...
