Hi
Instructions on how to use the flashers, set live data and the likes are found here;
https://gapinnovation.com/hurricane/documents/
Or here depending on your tuner;

Cheers
Hi Guys
The flasher has a sleep algorithm implemented and this was done a while back. When the key is turned off, consumption is so low that it wont drain the battery.
To check this;
-Turn key ON
-Connect the flasher to the sled
-Turn key OFF
-Look at the flashing pattern on the GF LED, it...
Speedometer will stay at 0 kph / mph even thought the sled is moving. Fault code will depend on the sled but trust me, you'll know...
Afterwards, its a matter of diagnosing the issue itself. Check connections, wires for damages etc.
You're welcome!
Pretty much all of them we saw had a fault code but quite possible that it wont trigger one. Keep an eye on the speedometer which is the key element here...
Hi All
Just got back from vacation, sorry for the delay.
Odometer rises at an alarming rate
The odometer value will rise significantly fast if there's an issue with the speed sensor. The typical scenario would be;
-Engine runs
-Speed = 0 kph
-Drive the sled, RPM rises, hour counter...
Well, its already implemented so early Christmas present it is!
It is so for Hurricane and TD cluster flashes since their initial release. Top left handlebar button switches the tunes, exactly like the top left button of the cluster.
This was actually fixed last season therefore all flashes on our system have the fix. Simply update your GAP Flasher to Build 510 of Program Flash Files Only if already at 510. Then, update the engine ECU...
Hurricane tunes are now adjusted VSS wise pretty close to GPS speed for a standard 2.86...
We are finalizing the websites as we speak and yes, they need to be polished and tested thoroughly before releasing. No official date but it is one of our top priorities.
Just a little resume of how it's going to work without being too technical:
Purchasing
-Log in to the website with your GAP...
To answer a few questions...
The Mobile device does the recording.
There are 3 ways to view recorded data. Starting with the less used methods:
-Data can be exported in .CSV format. This can be used in Excel for example to display charts.
-PDF export which provide an image of the acquired...
Hi Guys
Sorry for the delay, it is high season already here... can't wait for snow to arrive!
As discussed in this thread, in winter, one can leave the flasher connected unless the sled is not used frequently. It shall, however, be disconnected if not used for 2 weeks+ or during the off...
The GAP Flasher needs to be connected on the sled but the mobile device (phone, tablet) is not mandatory. The tune switch will be displayed on the cluster.
The following is from our post made last friday:
Optional button
Release date of the optional Button has been postponed. We have all required material here but we still need to finalize the design. Ergonomics are not 100% to our satisfaction thus not being produced. And for those wondering, it...
Jukebox
If a jukebox was flashed on the sled, it will remain in the ECU. The ECU will automatically select the lowest power tune by default (safety feature) in the absence of the flasher. The new owner can however change the tune if a GAP Flasher is purchased and connected on the sled. No need...
Correct, all functions which require a GAP Flasher will be lost.
If the new sled owner purchases a flasher, he will gain back all functions that are ECU related since the ECU is flashed with them. For example, Jukebox and Anti Lag. It will be up to the tuner to decide if the datalogger will be...
The flasher is not tied to the sled itself thus it can flash any sled for which a tune was purchased and uploaded to the associated GAP Flasher account. The tunes, datalogger and Antilag are of course locked for a specific sled.
In other words, you can sell your flasher. The new owner will...
