You will definitely need all of your shocks redone, and a Big Boy spring for the rear suspension with a revalved to accommodate the new spring. Is this a 121" or 136" model sled? I would upgrade your skis to Yamaha MTX skis with the Snowtrackers. Relatively inexpensive to do and a much more...
Odd as it sounds, my Apex and Attak both threw TORS codes when my drive axle bearing failed and damaged the speed sensor. Might be something else to check!
Did you have the front shock shortened? I seem to remember Robert saying if I didn't do that I ran the risk of shock breakage. I rode with Yamadoo last week (he bought my XTX skid), and checked it over. He's had it 3 seasons now with no issues.
Multiple thread addressing this issue. I personally have swapped 4 different setups into my 11. There is to much stiction in the rear arm. Star Suspension is the place to call. There kit, when done completely, meaning linkage , revalved and new spring for front shock and revalved rear shock...
I was there at 11:00 am. They were swamped. End of year inventory, orders shipping, very busy place. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. New world record for me lol ! Try them again on Thursday.
OH, to my knowledge I was the first guy to do that here. Ran like that most of the year. Replaced them in the summer then when they broke again, I just wired it open and rode it. Only replaced it because 3of the flanges disintegrated. Sled has over 15,000 on it and I'm keeping it lol.
Lol, yeah, I remember standing in my garage 1 day before my first trip of the year, looking at TWO broken cables. Called Port Yamaha and Kevin tells me there is ONE black cable in the entire United States.... AND Canada! NO silver cables at all. Sooo glad I'm running an Ulmer header now.
Nytro and Vector have EBRS, a system that bleeds off to reduce engine braking. It's still present but greatly reduced. I went over the handlebars a few times on my 06 Attak before I learned not to completely release the throttle. Once you learn smooth throttle movement and not stabbing and...
Not really but I never asked Ulmer if he had a map for my PowerCommander. Probably something I need to do. I rode it 2 seasons with the power valve disconnected and tied wide open. No noticeable difference in performance until the flanges cracked. Then it popped and banged all the time.
I would take a look at driveshaft and the bearings that support it. Been down this road and got stranded at 7 pm in the middle of nowhere with a broken driveshaft.
There are parts available. I snagged a complete right side for mine when I found them . All my years riding on and off trail and I've only ever smashed up the right side front suspension....... on EVERY sled I own lol.
