Bought my 08 Nytro used with a 136 tracks USA track extension kit.
Track ratchets and tensioners maxed out.
It had bigger idler wheels but broke them and went smaller. What are the strongest oversized suspension wheels??
Think years ago I bought longer tensioner bolts in past when this happened. Also track rides slightly more to one side then the other.
Now what??? Get longer bolts again? Go back to bigger idlers or offset axle kit? Has 3 idlers now and want to convert to 4.
It’s snowing and want to ride soon!! Got anti ratchet drivers and bearings for chaincase but don’t really want to tear into all that now if I don’t have to.
What should I check, try or do would you say?!?
Thanks in advance...

You went smaller rear idlers??? That would max out adjustment. I run firecat/sabrecat
Rear idlers as they are slightly bigger and there are 4 . Drivers and bearing won't take that long then you are Good to go . I have a 136 intense track with Wahl drivers and have plenty of adjustment. Pics maybe? Where you located?

I am in Blaine and Crosslake area. I have bigger aluminum wheels but I bang hard and broke them all in half. Wanted to keep riding and had stock wheels sitting there so switches back. Rode for another year or two like that slowly maxing out tensioners. That’s what lead up to this point. So I can just bolt up fire cat axel and wheels and they have 4 wheels in back? Thought those only had inner wheels and no wheels outside of the rails? Certain years only?

the cat wheels will go onto the stock yamaha shaft. brother did it on his 04 war when he had it extended out to 153" for awhile. he ran 4 of the cat wheels.

I was wrong about the cat rear wheels they are on my 151 nytro. And yes they fit the yamaha axle. I believe I have the tracks usa extension. I have to check for sure.

Can someone help me figure out how to post pics here? I click the picture icon and is asks for a url number. Not sure what to do. I had ruined one skid and set of metal wheels ditch banging and got the parts between the two confused. Current skid I am running has bigger black plastic wheels and has 4 in back already. They look close to 8”? Took a picture of drivers as well being they were slipping bad last ride last year. Track Tensioners almost maxed out. They 1/4 inch from bolts being maxed out and same with slider windows where axle slides etc.
Do tracks stretch out before it’s even missing a lug? Track appears to be in great shape so hoping it’s not stretched beyond usable shape?
Really hoping to ride it least a time or two before I tear into swapping drivers and bearings and all etc. What would you guys do? What do you think??

Try the camera icon or upload file button below posting box. You might have to resize your photo if it’s size is to large. Trial and error with picture size is about all I can help you with.

Thanks got it. Here are pics of my drive wheels. How worn do they look? Pic of skid and wheels? How big are those wheels or what brand any ideas?

Drivers are worn pretty good, but I’ve seen worse. Probably need replacement tho.
Those wheels are Arctic cat wheels.
If you want to know how big they are busy out the tape measure, just sayin.

Definitely need to confirm the size of the wheels. 1/2" difference in wheel size makes a big difference on adjustment. If you have an extra larger wheel lying around, install it on the nut side of the axle and see if you can adjust that side back enough to get the proper track deflection. If you can, go buy 4 new wheels that size.

Just double checked the size of the wheels and they are 8”. Can I go bigger? I bought some Kimpex extrovert or anti ratchet drivers assuming those two terms mean the same thing etc? Are the drive wheels I bought bigger for these reasons? If I swap drivers can I just run track loose and be ok with adjusters as they are or will I need to tighten track eventually. Why am I loosing tension even??? I don’t understand why this is happening. Track appears to be in good shape. Do tracks stretch beyond useage before it’s missing one lug even? Hate to have to get a new track for something so petty. So not sure where to turn currently???

If the anti ratchets are the same tooth number(8 tooth, 9 tooth, etc) as the stock drivers, they should be very close in diameter to the stock ones?
Yes tracks stretch, but I'd assume the track extension was designed to work with the stock size wheels unless larger wheels came with the kit.
How much track deflection do you have now? Were the larger idlers, stock Yammi wheels? I'm guessing you need to go back to what ever size they were if the track wasnt ratcheting before . But like I said in the other post, try one on the outside and see if you can get that side adjusted........dont run it that way, just check how close you can get the deflection to what it should b .

I would take a look at driveshaft and the bearings that support it. Been down this road and got stranded at 7 pm in the middle of nowhere with a broken driveshaft.
