I have to say, out of the box this XTX is the worst handling sled I've ever owned. Gonna need some serious work there.

That's exactly what it was. There were only 2 Sidewinders left at my dealer, 1 LTX and 1 XTX.

It isn't limited to any particular brand weight from what I've been seeing here and on the FB pages. It's happened on all brands including stock. The common denominator is the Winder clutch

It's the ugly #*$&@ blue and orange SE. I'll have to do something about that in the off season but for tonight it'll do. Lol

Just flew into Maine from work in Virginia. My buds called me to go out riding but my sled is still torn apart from before I left so I have my dealer on the way with a new XTX. I have issues.....lots of them......and they all seem to be expensive

I've got a 19 ss se. I love it. Got a 19 X2 SE Rspec also. That's a great machine too but very different type of machine. Had a bad experience with a General, will never buy a Polaris again. The YXZ is a hoot to drive.

On my Viper I cut out the hood just under the headlight. It's actually part of the instructions for the MPI kit but I went with quite a bit further than the instructions. I brought it to a body line that made it look almost factory. Might be an option on the Sidewinder as well

Try emailing gap directly. They've helped me with some strange issues a couple times now and got it sorted quickly. I'm at work now so don't know the email but I believe if you search gap here one of their early threads listed Patrick's email

I had my friend pull the cover and check the gears, everything looks good there. But it appears the filter element is missing from the airbox. So I think we're hearing the intake sucking air

I'm back in Virginia for the rest of the winter so my son will just keep riding it and hope for the best

Dam, if that's normal that's annoying.......and people complain about the clutch rattle on the Viper/Sidewinder. That's nothing compared to this. Lol

Has anybody got any ride time on them yet to give a review of that suspension? Almost snow checked one but backed out. Curious how that suspension is compared to the 141 XTX

Finally took a video while I was home for Christmas. Video doesn't actually do any justice to how loud it is, and as you can see belt is off so not the belt squealing.

Wow, now that's not a common place for a crack.....or at least it wasn't on past Yamaha clutches

146 is uncoupled with torsion springs 141 is uncoupled no torsion springs
