Changing skids ltx se to xtx

Hello everyone I looking for more transfer out of my ltx se 270 hurricane ss tune I took couple blocks out and put shaft back in and didn't really help and from what I've read really cant get much past 1ft of skis in the air so my question would I be able to switch skids out of xtx suspension and put it in my ltx se. Seems like xtx models can lift skis a will with tune. If you guys have any suggestions that would be great
 

xtx is a blast - i hear u can run a stiffer front skid shock spring from bill mohr to help this on the 137 but id do the 141 . u wont be sorry and youll drop quite a few pounds... and u wont have to mess with the tunnel length.. u can remove all the wheels in the middle as well. id run duponts - best 100$ upgrade u can doo... and at least a 1.6 track...
 
So I would just have to buy complete suspension from a xtx and bolt it up with 141 in track
 
ya - and a track and drivers as theyre 3.0 with 141 - or u could do the 146... thats 2.86. not sure how that one works yet - luv that 141 tho...

I did some quick skid measurements at my dealer between a T cat 137 vs a Riot 146 as both are torsion springs. I want to ride a 146 first to get a idea how it feels but I think the 146 suspension will bolt to the 137 rails. The only thing I noticed different was the lower scissor mounting hole in the rail is about 1" farther back on 146. IF this would work it's not exactly cheap though, $1200-$1400 using the cheaper shocks. I agree with you Waldo1, the 141's are a blast to ride. I miss the one I had...

I've been investigating this comparing the fiche diagrams for Riot and ZR9 '20 models as I am interested in the Cross-Action skid. The swing arms and rear bracket are different but the shocks appear to be the same. I do think you could do a garage sale swap of parts and complete the swap. Rails, arms, bracket and a few misc parts.
 
Yah I really want to switch over to uncoupled skid like xtx 141 it no way near as much fun when skis are planted makes sled feel heavy in my honest opinion they need a suspension that's in between ltx and xtx.

Before you go ahead with the switch , try relocating the cross shaft back about 7/8 of an inch +/- , without the rubber stoppers , and see how you like that .
Move it back as far as you can , and still have some clearance from the rear axle wheels.
The actual distance by sled is determined by the amount of track stretch you have had .
I just had my track replaced , and had to temporarily move the shaft back to the stock location , until I get some stretch .
Stiffen up the front skid shock , and weld on slightly bigger pads where the suspension hits the cross shaft .
I had this done , along with a 240 tune , and the Yamaha upgrade helix for the 17's , and it increased the sled fun factor quite noticeably .
If I don't trade up this year , I will go the next step or two.
The next step would be to add the SS 240 flash from Hurricane , or the SS 270 flash !
Of course the new SW would get all those upgrades also !

I would post pics , but my sled is at the dealer , waiting to be picked up .

As of right now my 18 sled I getting ready to stud my sled but it has hurricanse sm ss tune bundle from 225 to 270 with all necessary parts suspension is set with limiter all way out front spring cranked up on lowest setting in rear suspension with coupler blocks out I get little to no ski lift.

You have exactly the same set up and tunes as me. The 137 does what it claims to do and sticks to the trail. I didn't realize how much I'd miss the nimbleness of the 141.
I'm going to keep an eye out for a wrecked 146 hopefully with no skid damage for a parts donor.
I haven't really heard if people are liking the new 146 suspension.

What's the difference between 141 in to the 146 other than length of tracks
