He isn’t the only one. I’ve seen a few 2024 850 Comp turbo sleds listed for 26-28k. The ads said, only 1,000 made.
IMO, that bubble has burst.
2025 Yamaha’s may be the exception. I think there will be quite a few people that want them and will pay big money for them.
Lynx is heavier for sure. Extra bracing, big shocks, and the PPS3 is heavier too.
All the Polaris sleds hold 2 gallons of fuel more than Doo, and have E-start.
If these numbers are correct, an 850 comp turbo would weigh almost as much as a 900R with SS if it had e-start instead of shot. It is...
So let me get this straight. Last year, they weighed a 850 Renegade XRS at 651lbs, ready to ride.
This year, the 900 XRS weighs 630lbs and the 850 comp turbo weighs 615lbs?
You know, when those weights were published, I was highly skeptical based on my own experiences with my 2018 Sidewinder, and my wifes base model 2019 900T Adrenaline. Her sled feels a lot lighter than my SW. Both in the garage, and on the trail.
My 2024 900R is heavy. I haven’t ridden it on the...
Unfortunately, Yamaha is at the mercy of Cat here. I think you will see a bold graphics package. Yamaha probably already knows they’re going to sell every single one that cat will make for them.
Someone on DT put one on ice yesterday with a dragy. 60% break in, 144 1.575” triggers. He said he could not hook up for ET.
120mph on the speedo was 105mph on the dragy. I’ve heard from a few different people that the factory clutch on the comp turbo is horrible. 4,100rpm engagement, and they...
There have been a wide range of reports regarding consumption of ICE. Some are using very little, some are using a lot. As Earthling said, there will be many variables at play. The tank only holds about a liter.
Knowing BRP, they will probably offer a larger tank as an accessory for $199.99.
That would be a deal breaker for sure. I’m sure the aftermarket will offer a larger ICE tank.
I know two guys that bought 850 comp turbos this year. We will see what they think of them. They are not out of break in mode yet.
I follow all these sleds closely. I love snowmobiles and I have always been fascinated with new models and engines in Green, Red, Yellow, and Blue.
I don’t feel it is necessary to bus chuck the competition to make me feel better about the sled I own. You are watching those sleds closely because...
I personally love reading about these 850 turbos. I don’t think I would ever own one, but competition drives innovation. I am also hoping Doo drops the new 240hp Maverick engine in a sled.
