Unfortunately, Yamaha is at the mercy of Cat here. I think you will see a bold graphics package. Yamaha probably already knows they’re going to sell every single one that cat will make for them.
It's most definitely in Yamahas hands alone whether or not they want to treat their loyalists with something maybe a little extra on the way out the door. These 25' models wont' fall into the hands of your average Joe wanting a first time sled knowing thy will be stuck holding the bag on future parts and service updates.Unfortunately, Yamaha is at the mercy of Cat here. They still have to supply parts for ten Years thur 2035 on everything they make if Iam not mistaken??? So as long as parts are available for the motors, the dealers should still do the work.. cat will have chassis parts which is a good thing…

I'm not sure that's a good comparison as they weren't exiting the sport.Yamaha in the past hasn’t done that usually , the last run of a models have a few of following models upgrades to test in production. V -max 4 had disc brakes, 93 exciter 2 had first gen primary clutch, 96 v max had upgrade rear suspension, last year of the viper had detonation control, and then the last apex had special suspension etc .
Hoping they throw a few upgrades in for the sidewinder , but unfortunately Arctic cat is involved with chassis so that leaves Yamaha with limited options for upgrades.

I don't know what the legal responsibility is for manufacturing and supplying parts but already some items I have ordered to have in my Sidewinder parts supply have been on backorder for over a year....graphics specifically in my case. They probably will never come off backorder.

Many brands of manufacturers now stop making parts after about 10 years. They don't want them repaired any longer.I don't know what the legal responsibility is for manufacturing and supplying parts but already some items I have ordered to have in my Sidewinder parts supply have been on backorder for over a year....graphics specifically in my case. Back in the day the original head of Honda had a policy that if they sold a product their customers would be able to get parts. You could get parts for the original North American sold Honda motorcycles for decades as they would source anything you ordered...obviously when he moved on the more modern business model killed his policyMany brands of manufacturers now stop making parts after about 10 years. About 18 years ago I had to rebuild a Honda Goldwing 1200 engine. Even then, pistons and rings were no longer available and they sold a lot of those bikes.Back in the day the original head of Honda had a policy that if they sold a product their customers would be able to get parts. It's planned obsolescence.

sidewinder 240HP with Ohlins shocks and GPS. Then I woke up and reality sunk in. BNG is all we get. More than likely.

The HP will certainly not get bumped up, thats a pipe dream for those even remotely thinking thats a possibility, but you do have the aftermarket shops for that. I have a 25 SRX on order, but I still don't really want the std QS3 or the electric fly by wire adjusters or the worthless 1" track, prolly not going to end up with one anyway. I'm sure they will be very limited in qty. again.

I would settle for a Factory sled that we don't have to fix things before we ride them.....example, belt alignment...

I get that and its no different with any brand …Its rare you can buy anything that is perfect out of the box… And anything with tracks, wheels, or propellers always seem to be in need of somekind adjustments . Nature of the deal …..I would settle for a Factory sled that we don't have to fix things before we ride them.....example, belt alignment...
