Sounds like a good deal. I was not doing extroverts. Are you having a problem with it jumping?
How is the ride and durability of the skid? Was yours a Sno Pro or LXR?
I have the front suspension mount shaft for the cat slide suspension located and installed. I had to make spacers becauce the Yamaha tunnel is wider. I removed the Yamaha brackets and welded the spacers to it and reinstalled the brackets.
After the suspension is installed and it workes like it...
Decided to keep my 05 Rx1 but wanted a better ride. I put a set of Fox Float 2's on the front last weekend. This weekend I will start to install my 2009 Z1 Turbo LXR 128 skid with 300 miles.
I have heard good results from this mod. I don't have a lot of time but hope to get it done by the end...
I have a 2005 RX1 and I am looking at a set of Float 2s off of a 2009 Nytro. They have the same length, will they fit the RX1. I believe the part#s are a little different 850-12-203 RX1 850-12-201 Nytro
Thanks Bruce
I also got a chance to ride a Z1 last year. I have wanted one for a while now. This one has a TD 225 tune but must not be set up right because my RX 1 was competitive with it. I was not impressed with the frt suspension, it would dive in the holes bad. Rear suspension was nice. I have decided to...
Ok that makes sense.
I am not sure if the guy I am buying the skid from still has the sled. The suspension is coming out of a 2009 Z1 Turbo LXR.
I have a friend that has a 2009 Z1 Turbo Snow Pro. Not sure if the measurements are the same or not. Not sure what I will have to do for mound...
I know some members have done this or put a Doo or Polaris skid in there sled. I remember People saying to take measurements from the donor sled. Not sure how and what measurements to take. Looking for some advise.
Thanks Bruce
That sled is the reason for this post.
The owner did not post the add. The guy that posted it for hm said the owner was directed to a builder in the thumb by the Sled Shed in Gaylord, but can not remember has name. He does not know any of the specs of the engine. I would like to know who built...
Any body on this form running one of these motors?
I have Googled the topic and there is very little out there. Is there any engine builders in Michigan building them?
Any hp ratings, reliability issues?
Thanks
I have a 05 RX1 that I will be keeping for two more years (kids in college) before I try something else.
I want to improve on my mono suspension. I had the mono shock re valved so it would not bottom out, but it compromised the ride.
I was talking to someone over the weekend and they...
