upgrade to an 11 or newer apex and you will be surprised how much more the sled is. then upgrade to the sidewinder and see how awesome it is if you don't do it in the right order you will never feel the awesomeness of the 2011 and up apex...
I would rather replace a $12 dollar bushing every year while I am already in the chain case anyways the replace a $2,000 header that they had finally addressed in the old apex by going to SS and extra support and digressed back to Titanium that cracks and cant even be welded. and how long did it...
depends on the track you put them in. they need some meat to stay put. the track on my sidewinder has some very solid spots but also many spots that are very soft and flimsy. I put them in last year and allot of them held up fine but also lost more then a few. over all I think they are a great...
Well Nick Long and hard to pronounce welcome to the site!! You will find this site to be absolutely invaluable in maintaining and staying ahead of any issues you may ever run into with your sled. there is so much knowledge on this site it is unreal. Pretty much everyone here just wants to help...
loved my vmax loved my rx-1 loved my 07 apex gt loved my apex xtx BUT my sidewinder is by far the best Yamaha I have ever owned. I never knew one could pound out 300 plus miles and wake up the next day and not be sore!!! the power and handling are far superior to all my former Yamaha's I hope...

This is how you tell if the bearing is spinning on the shaft thanks for letting me know!! is there and other tell tale signs like shavings around the break rotor or anything being loose over there? In other words anything that you can see visually to make it easy to point out and be certain...
I hear you on possible gauge being off but that is not the problem when I get fuel it only takes 6 gallons to fill when this starts happening. when you pin it at any speed it just leans pops and falls on its face and then catches again. if I was needing 8 gallons at that point I would say it...
I am going to be brining in my 2017 ltx le into the dealer for some warranty work. The heated seat only works on one setting and the fuel pick up in the tank must not be seated correctly as it runs out of fuel when I pin it with a 1/4 tank of fuel or less. I am looking for a list of what I...
Problem with glasses is when they are in your helmet they are warm when you open the helmet they get cold and much like when you come in from outside they fog up when you close the helmet again due to the warm environment. so they either have to stay always warm or always cold.
It fit over my rx1 apex 121 and apex 144 it has lost of room for expansion but I cant say for sure. I liked it because it went all the way over the skis and kept road debris to a minimum.
putting the bearing in the freezer will shrink the bearing. keep it in there as long as it takes for it to get completely cooled down. id say an hour to be safe.
Or you could do like the rest of us and try every kind out there and some are pretty good Bergstrom are real nice and last a long time but eventually you will try ST's and see why they are so great. your choice totally we have just been there done that before. over the years there has been many...
