I am going to be brining in my 2017 ltx le into the dealer for some warranty work. The heated seat only works on one setting and the fuel pick up in the tank must not be seated correctly as it runs out of fuel when I pin it with a 1/4 tank of fuel or less. I am looking for a list of what I should look at before I take it in so I can have all things addressed at the same time.

IE: I know the driveshaft can be an issue due to bearing fitment is there a way to check this with taking minimum things apart? What all should I do to do the min I would have to do to be sure there is a problem so I don't get charged for labor on check and advise. I wonder if there was a way to know if there was a problem in the chain and gears so they had to be the ones to remove the muffler.

Any ideas are helpful so I don't have to bring it back again when I get it back and service the sled for the season.

1. I have fixed the seat heaters in 3 2017 TCats in the last 2 months. All were broken wire near module in heater grid. The only way to fix is to remove seat cover and either repair (solder) or replace whole heater (~$150). See pics. Note broken red wire in pic 1. Rest are pics of replacing the pad and revising it so it won't break wires in the future.
2. There is variation in fuel gage calibrations so while you may think there is 1/4 tank (= approx. 2.5 gallons), it's possible there is less. I don't run hard if the tank is low. 1.5 gallons in a 9.5 gallon tank isn't much. The tank is long and can slosh from one end to the other (no baffles).
3. I'm sure many can chime in but for sure have them look at:
a. all clamps (coolant & boost hoses!)
b. track shaft spinning in bearings
c. loose screws in chain tensioner (chain case)
d. clutches (rollers/bushings/alignment/offset)
e. skid - all wheels
f. oil changes (engine and chain case)
Everyone else can chime in.

Loosen the track and push up on driveshaft under tunnel on brake side. You can feel the play there from the bearing spinning on driveshaft.

I hear you on possible gauge being off but that is not the problem when I get fuel it only takes 6 gallons to fill when this starts happening. when you pin it at any speed it just leans pops and falls on its face and then catches again. if I was needing 8 gallons at that point I would say it might just be fuel sloshing but not with 3.5 gallons still in the tank. it is an early warning system that I need gas but I can only go 1/2 to 3/4 throttle at that point and it is annoying and should not be this way. It has warranty until 2021 so I will let them fix the seat and this issue for sure just want tips on how to check other areas debating on just doing the preseason prep first so I will see what ever else is needed but I was hoping they may have to remover the drive shaft and in turn they would have to open the chain case and change that for me too and they would have to remove the exhaust then as well and deal with all that for me and I could just change the oil grease the chassis and ride.

Might have to remove the fuel pump/pickup assy from gas tank. Maybe one of the long pickup tubes came/broke off?

This is how you tell if the bearing is spinning on the shaft thanks for letting me know!! is there and other tell tale signs like shavings around the break rotor or anything being loose over there? In other words anything that you can see visually to make it easy to point out and be certain there is a problem even if its just starting to be?

Maybe you are having a viberation down by the left foot. Then they will have to look into it.
