So we are meeting north of Lake Superior?

    Lol, cruel joke!

What I heard, "Let's meet in Munising this Saturday for a group ride"!

How can I tell if a Viper ever had a turbo?

Lol, no maybe the opposite. As hard as I try I can't walk away from the Viper. Fund a really good deal on an LTX, almost too good so looking the gift horse over good.

    Lol, cruel joke!

So our trails closed two weekends ago. Saturday night we got a solid foot of fresh snow and another 6 to 10 on the way between tonight and tomorrow.

How can I tell if a Viper ever had a turbo?

Is there a tell tale way to tell if a Viper ever had a turbo?

    2020 Release

This would be true in the long run, in the short term the cost of tooling etc., would be huge. EBITDA, IMO, is not a good measure of overall profitability. COGS and G&A profiles are a better measure. With-that-said, I would think that a third party manufacturer either in Asia or Mexico and...

Does anyone from Yamaha read our posts?

Oh oh oh, can Yamaha please make one more Viper with Ulmer clutches, a 1.35 cobra track, QS3s all around a pair of C&A razors under it and put my name on it? I will happily supply a delivery address or come pick it up when done!!

Does anyone from Yamaha read our posts?

    If we write nicely? Maybe?

Does anyone from Yamaha read our posts?

Just wondering, does anyone that works for Yamaha actually read our posts? I would think that if they did this site would be a good source of marketing info. Is the sidewinder a good snowmobile, yes? Is it for everyone that is loyal to Yamaha, no. I have been on a Yamaha sled for a few years...

    Insurance?

2018 Real World Sled of the Year, Viper LTX LE made it to the final four just to be put out first due to lack of handling because of skis that just don't cut it.

    Insurance?

If the Viper is in their future plans I would guess that it will be with a non-turbo 998. It would be a shame if they drop it. The fastest box stock sled in production is not for everyone. A $16K snowmobile isn't for everyone. A really nice riding trail machine in the $11-13K range however.

    Yamaha RE-tooling for 2020

How about just putting on a set of skis that work with the chassis?

    Insurance?

In WI Sidewinder and Viper would cost the same for me at $631/YR. I was in the mind of an idiot today. Viper $631 because it is a 1049 CC, Sidewinder the same because it has a turbo. An 850 Polaris $258/Year because of CC and no turbo. The questionnaire literally asks if it has a turbo...

    Insurance?

Who is everyone using for snowmobile insurance? I got a quote for a new sled today and am a little shocked. Would cost more to insure a Sidewinder than I pay for my truck.

    Yamaha RE-tooling for 2020

Of course they are. Not sure if I would buy into the "their sinking more money into it" propaganda though.

    Yamaha RE-tooling for 2020

Not sure that I agree with this. Sometimes agreements are more about needing a crutch and some time to rebuild. That is kind of like saying that if the fat kid becomes friends with the super athlete they either run a marathon soon or they failed. Yamaha had the best 4s in the market in the...

Anyone Price a 2019 LTX LE?

Should be, but remember that when you go to register it you'll have to pay sales tax in your state.

    Yamaha RE-tooling for 2020

Yup, there was a short spurt of sleds on the market right after the auction and now zelch. If I want to ride a Yamaha next year I either keep what I have, buy a Sidewinder, or buy a "basic as they come" Viper.

Got a little seat time on an 850 Poo.

Absolutely, you couldn't tell the difference between the chassis other than a little more weight up front. Shifted back on the seat going about 60, grabbed the throttle and walked it for about 200 feet.

Got a little seat time on an 850 Poo.

A dealer here has the Polaris demos sitting in their lot as they head to the Wausau demo days and I had a chance to take one for rip. Engine is definitely different than the 800. I would say linear is the best way to describe it. The quick revving rubber band feeling is gone, but it pulls...
