Since you've heard the dreaded grinding, it would be a good idea to do an inspection on the gears and chaincase. There could be shrapnel inside. If you're lucky like I was, everything will be fine. But, it's worth a look.

PC5 for programmer. I'd also take a look at the Bender exhaust. Few more hp than MBRP and a little quieter I believe.

I'm more of an s/c guy than turbo (just personal preference) and riding style. If I ever went turbo, I'd be all over Justin's stage 1 kit.

What stubby said. I'm not sure that your question about the pc5 is related to your issue with the rev limiter. The pc5, when programmed with the correct map will give you added response, slightly better mileage, and maybe a hp or 2. But, it does not affect the rpm limit.

This is the first time I've ever heard of that being done. Can't really think of any reason to do that. But, if it makes you feel more comfortable about the setup, it's YOUR sled.

First things first:You don't even know if this replacement engine will be out of spec clearance wise. Since it sounds like you'll be swapping engines, it would be advantages to check/adjust the clearance before you re-install the new engine, as you have already concluded. I'm not aware of shim...

Mr. Sled (or someone else) can you provide a link to your oil change video? I haven't seen it, so I wanted to get an idea what Allens relocation kit looks like. Not sure it will work with my relocated oil tank and yamacharger.

Good catch Bob, I don't think there's anyway that a stock compression engine can handle that much boost without staight race gas.

Very few on this site (if any) will have what you're looking for. But, you also need to be concerned about running the stock fuel pump. It runs out of volume at about the 240hp level. Beyond that, a higher volume pump is needed.

X2 on the low fuel level and stabilizer. That's what I do. Then run it for 5-10 minutes to make sure the stabilizer gets into the rest of the fuel system.

And from now on, DO NOT start your sled every 3-4 weeks during any extended shut down. Once it's parked for the off season, leave it that way. The first gen Apex's run extremely rich on initial cold start up. Your just asking for trouble with fouled plugs.
