2006 Yamaha Apex
I purchased a used Apex with 6000km on it over the summer. I’ve started it every 3-4 weeks and have always started and seem to run very well.
Today, I went to start to and when it started it seemed to idle very low. It normally would idle at about 2500rpm when first started but today is was much lower.
I let it idle until the temperature light went off. Then went to give it a big of gas and it would stall. It did this a few times and restarted. Then it stalled out again, and will not restart at all. It turns over, but does not fire.
Where should I start my troubleshooting? We have a trip planned over the Christmas holidays and as Murphy’s law has it, my new sled will all of a sudden not start.
Any idea’s would be appreciated. The low idle on the start up was definitely noticeable. Also, I did put another 20 lites of gas in it about a month ago to bring the tank up to 3/4’s so I don’t think bad gas would be an issue.
Thanks
