Had to replace front center suspension wheels after first 500 miles. Have 96 picks in track and had the solid plastic wheels deform and chip after riding in low snow conditions. Dealer comped me 2 new wheels but they don't fit due to new bearings (6005 new vs 6205 replacement). Used the new...
Raced a F7 this weekend at Houghton across the river, I would take him out of the hole and would stay ahead most of the way but he was gaining when we ran out of room. Raced twice and won both times so it probably depends on sled setup for transfer and other settings. I was running 96 picks as...
Had TORS problem on my Vector even after all adjustments to spec. Got better when I adjusted throttle positioning on handlebars but still not gone yet. Seems to happen most when On/Off/On throttle movements, happening during hard riding. Can be how your grabbing the throttle, seems to be very...
I had to replace hyfax after the first 500 miles on my Vector. Wear could have been due to a 60 mile ride in a lot of ice/low snow conditions. The wear was worse on the back half of hyfax. I put a wheel kit on about 5" up from rear wheels. Rode another 500 this past week and wear was very...
Had the problem several times within the first 300 miles. I adjusted the throtle free play to spec, 2-3mm free play and also readjsuted the throttle postion on the bar to better fit my grip. Rode fine for a while but then had the problem occur again this last weekend within the first 10 miles...
The Vector is a good sled and on my recent ride with my friends (XC700/MXZ800) had no problem keeping up on small to medium size moguls but you will not be able to drive this sled as hard as a Rev/Pickle in the rough stuff. It is great on groomed trails but when pushed hard for awhile, you will...
Glad you like your sled, here is my first 300 impressions from this weekend. Sorry for the novel but I'm impressed.:yam:
I got 300+ on my RS this weekend as well :D . I am running Ohlins all around with new USI Project VX skis with 6" Shaper Carbides. I had also pulled up limiter straps...
Darn it, can't add photo too big to post. Sorry, it was a pic of nephew and nieces on sleds in garage having fun at Thanksgiving. If I can figure out how to shrink file to below 256kb I'll post it. :o|
Ohlins Installed
Hey Guys, Installed new Ohlins after debating Fox or Ohlins. Got fronts and rears as well. The rear shock actually has Oil Resevoir and Dampening Adjustment like the fronts. This was a suprise to myself and dealer as it was not in the spec sheet on them when bought...
What kind of performance gain and weight loss with the new setup? What was the price as well? Still deciding on to Turbo or not to Turbo yet. Might hold off a year to see how the Vector kits from CPR, MC, Bender perform. Might not spend money on exhaust if I go that route.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I am going to go with the Ohlins. I don't think I'll be dissapointed. I will probably recoup half the cost, selling the stock shocks. Probably will post them on e-bay eventually for sale. See ya on the trails.
Looking to upgrade stock RS with either Ohlins shocks on front and rear or the new Fox Float shocks on the front. Does anyone have any experience with the new Fox Float shocks? Had Ohlins on my SRX and thought they were much better than stock shocks. Price comparison between fox ($899.95 US)...
