F6 VS.. VECTOR..... ANY RESULTS??

well

i had a hard time beating a f5 this weekend on a loose pack lake. I have a vector and his f5 was stock. Although there was about 150 pound difference in the riders, the f5 rider only weighed about 100 pounds and I way 250, I would blow him off the line. But if we did a rolling race he would win.

A Vector will run with an F7? I find that somewhat hard to believe. I currently ride an F7, but this spring I was planning on trading to a Vector. I just don't understand how a sled that weighs more and has less horsepower can be faster. If anybody could explain it to me it'd be appreciated cause I'm trying to find out as much as I can about the RS before I spend my hard earned money on one.
I dont know about an f-7 or what distance there talking in the race? But I race my buddies 05 Warrior and I actually jump him outa the whole for a short distance and he finally is gaining on me after 70mph.. :4STroke:

f7 verses Vector?

I can see a RX-1 or Warrior beating a F7, but I just don't see a Vector topping a F7.

I own a Vector and love it! But due to the much larger power to weight ratio between the two sleds (Vector and F7), I think the F7 would win in the end. If it didn't, I'd be selling FAST!
just from what I've been reading here and experience with mine, I think it might be a close race with maybe the f7 winning by not much, or it could go the other way also..depending on the distance of the race.

Raced a F7 this weekend at Houghton across the river, I would take him out of the hole and would stay ahead most of the way but he was gaining when we ran out of room. Raced twice and won both times so it probably depends on sled setup for transfer and other settings. I was running 96 picks as well. The Ripsaw has great hook up. Ran against friends XC700, he would take me by several sled lengths across but not a huge win. His sled also is running Ripsaw and 120 studs. His sled has had some work as previous owner used to grass drag it so pipe work and gearing are probably those factors. Raced against Rev 600 HO, about equal, would take him out of the hole and then both sleds stayed about even. About the same results against 800 XC and MxZ non rev. Could get both out of the hole (due to hook up) but they would gain towards the end. It all depends on setup and traction. Raced against friend new Mach Z. Not a chance, that thing is a beast, close on start but the Z would be long gone half way through. Rode the Mach Z, what a ride. That sled is sceary, didn't get to see a Rx-1 ride against it but doubt if it has a chance. Vector is an impressive sled but its not a drag machine. I have no problems in the trails keeping up with any of the machines listed above as we rode the hole week together. It all depends on the rider and the setup but raw horsepower is the overall king. Mach Z should rane as king against all other stock machines. But I will keep my 15 + mpg and no oil Vector. :4STroke:

how is that mach z ride looks like it would be real firm? I guess alot of people are changing the front shocks imediately!

hard to tell, I hardly had the skis on the ground when riding, just kept pulling. I didn't get a chance to ride it in the rough stuff, only on the river so I couldn't tell. The rider we were with seemed to think it handle good but I don't think he has the experience with any thing more than his old 90 Mach Z so anything is an improvement over that.
