I like my Nytro very much. The fun factor is high. As far buying new ski's, I just swaped out my carbides for the Stud Boy dual carbides.... and my sled is on rails now. I also had to adjust my limiter strap by once notch. It's a cheaper option should you not like the factory set-up.
Wow... That last reply was an AZZ.
Anyway, I just did mine tonight and it was very easy. The product I used was "Great Stuff", which is very common in most hardware stores. I got mine from Home Depot. Start as deep as you can and work your way back out to the end. The hole in the J-Bar is...
I bought a pair of Woodys duel runner carbides and it was night and day. I can't compair them to a new set of skis, but my sled is "almost" on rails since I added them. Still tweaking the set-up a bit. The carbides will cost you about $130.00 for a set.

Thanks for the tips. Just for kicks.. I went out and placed a board under the track and adjusted both straps by one hole. Only took a few minutes with an 11mm ratchet and wrench. Easy to undo on the trial if I decide I don't like the "feel".
Drove it around the yard a few times and it seems...
No.... not really.
I just now noticed that the settings on the front springs were at differnet settings (left compared to right; both top and botom). I believe the manual said they should be set the same. (?)
Unfortunetly, there's not enough snow in southern Maine to take it out to try...
What is the best way to add more ski pressure on the 09 XTX. I'm new to the Yamaha suspension settings and would like to start dialing it in more to my riding style. I weight 175 and like to ride the trails aggresive.
What adjustments have you made?
Thanks for any help!
Looks good. I wonder what it would look like having the front grills painted white? I have the same sled and now you have me looking at my sled with a razor blade. Hmmmm.... ;)!
