I just took my 2022 out for the first time today (it was a left over) and runs awful, it’s brand new. Anything past 1/4 throttle bogs down and won’t move.
Thinking about buying the Hygear linkage kit for my '16 XTX. Does it help a lot over the rough and studder trails? Worth the money? absolutely love how it rides on groomed trails, but not so much on the rough stuff. Thanks!
Butches, so you could tell a big difference after installing the pro linkage kit? Did you ride the XTX with the stock suspension and notice the same thing with the rear end just getting thrown all over the place?
My XTX just has the Fox 3, no Evol.
Yes at higher speeds over the big bumps, the rear end is bouncing up and down like crazy, wont stay on the ground at all.
thanks for the input, still trying to decide if i want to do the kit...
I have a 2016 XTX-SE, absolutely love it on groomed trail, but once you hit any un-groomed trail with 1 foot + moguls, the rear end is awful. Has anyone installed the Hygear Pro Linkage kit? Does it fix the issue? How do you like it?
thanks!
I have a 2016 XTX too, and last weekend with 1200 miles after an oil change i saw oil dripping from the center of the sled by the belly pan. Right before i saw the oil, the engine was getting hot due to lack of lubrication and icy trails running at 80 mph for 50 miles non stop. I stopped for a...
When my dealer called Yamaha to ask what the solution was, the Yamaha rep immediately knew of the issue and said Yamaha wants the suspension in the bottom holes in both the front and rear. So mine is in the very bottom holes on both and 530 miles haven't heard the noise since!
Problem has been resolved. My Yamaha dealer contacted Yamaha and immediately knew the solution. Yamaha wants the suspension mounted in the bottom holes on both the front and rear mounts. Rode it 500 miles this weekend and noise is gone! I also had the dealer tighten the limiter strap one hole...
When riding over rough trails with good size bumps, is anyone hearing a rubbing noise from the front of the suspension? Seems to do it when the front part of the suspension is compressed. Only does it over bumpy trails at slow speeds. Sounds like track is rubbing on something.
I have not...
How difficult is it to remove the instrument panel from the Viper? I want to mount a gps but have to get under the those black pieces of plastic that run right beside the steering post to tighten the bolts for the gps mount. I attached a pic for reference.
What are people using for ice scratchers on their Nytro XTX? Anyone using the ones that mount to the front A-arm made by straight-line performance? Or the ones that mount to a hole on the side rail?
Do they work or are they a waste of money? I already run the DuPont hyfax, and I'm still burning...
Hi,
I just purchased the 2016 Viper X-TX and want to take that oval bag off the tunnel behind the seat so i can put on the base carrier rack to carry extra fuel. Anyone take that bag off, whats the easiest way to get those two rivets out that are close to the seat. Cant get a drill lined up with...
Im buying a new sled in the next few weeks. I now have a Nytro XTX with 10,000 miles. I ride mostly trails but will go off trail as well. Love the Nytro XTX for that purpose. Looking at a leftover 2014 RTX or the 2016 XTX.
I'm leaning towards the XTX for the offtrail capability but wondering...
i have 4000 miles on my XTX, pretty hard on it, i dont baby it at all thats for sure. Havnt looked at it in 4000 miles, but seems to running just like it was new!!
I put the C&A Razors on as well with 6in stud boys. Absolutly awesome. Im an aggressive trail rider, and it made a night and day difference! Awesome skies! I came from a 800 renegade, and loved that fro handeling! just tired of the 2 strokes blowing up! I found my self not being able to keep up...
I have the two fuel caddy bags along with the Yamaha premium trunk bag both on the sled. Both fit great and look great together. The saddlebag is huge, can fit a ton of stuff on them. I have the XTX too.
