I sank my phazer in about 3 feet of water last season.I did everything berge says above^^ but make sure you pull your plugs and turn the engine over to get any water out of the cylinders before you try to start it. No problems since, good luck!

550 fan a turd? I dunno about that, my friend has an 08 550f and we have raced many many times (flat,hills,powder, you name it) We always come out dead nuts equal. I would say his 550f and my phazer are equal in most aspects, weight, handling, speed, reliability ect.

yah if your not good a fixing it yourself the phazer probably isnt the sled for you. Love the sled but it has its qerks to say the least, I doubt that you will find any sled that dosnt require $700 or so per season to keep it going.... sledding isnt cheap haha :Rockon: :o|

The front ends on these sled are garbage. dont get me wrong, I love my phazer but I have 13500 kms on mine and its on its thrid set of ball joints, and the plastic bushings last about 2000kms :o| I wish they put a little more engineering into the front ends on theses sleds.

ok thanks, well i pulled the plugs yesterday and there was water in the cylinders :o| so i spun the cluch and got it out then put some oil in. I put the tank back on and started turning it over.......my starter started to get really slow, so i boosted it with a full car battery and still VERY...

so I was out riding with some buddies yesterday and came across an open river, friend #1 with a 600 rev crossed it, friend#2 with a 550 rev crossed it, then I tried and got about halfway across :o| :o| :o| the water was about 2 feet deep. just above the bottom of the air box. I killed the sled...

wow that sucks big ones, its only going to cost you 1600 for all those parts?! I hit a rock 2 years ago and it was $350 for 1 a-arm!

I put zip ties around the little tabs up at the front of the cover, works for me and its on there pretty solid

I alway thought it was so Joe Blow in the parking lot couldt just open up the panel were all the important stuff is and mess with it.To make sure they cant mess with your oil, rad, battery, and wires and such. Just a thought

get the skinz float plate, chaeper and hase more protection. It helped with this problem for me

yah the phazer is just a high revving sled, cruising at 80- 90 kms/h mine revs at about 10,000. when you pin it, it will go to almost 12,000

I have around 12000 clicks on mine with no troubles

Theres a company called "skinz" that makes them, they make skid plates and other stuff too, 189.95 at royal distributing. So probably about 89.95 in the U.S.

I found a rock the hard way 2 seasons ago, had to replace my a-arm and un bend my sway bar bracket. :o| Im defanetly investing in the big skid plate this year. Are the a-arm protectors worth the money for the protection they give? or are they more of a deep snow thing.
