Ive only got about 1200 miles on my FX and im kinda worried about the starter bolts backing out and leaving me for dead somewhere...how many more miles do you think i got left, and does every 07 phazer starter bolts back out??
Looks that way.You should be worried. It is a simple fix and in process of fixing it you will be preventing other bolts from falling out.Just take the front end off and Brakeclean and Torque,Loctite everything you removed and your worries are over.

I think I had about 2400 miles in mine when it started to come apart. Reindexed the starter and loctited it back together. Got about another 2400 on it now without any further issues.

Ok, here goes... please see this post! I just looked into this issue on my 07 Phazer this weekend...

I'm positive that my starter would have left me stranded! My advice to you is to take the time and pull it apart. We regularly end up more than 150 miles away from home and it would really suck to have it crap out that far away. Even if Yamaha stiffs me on my warranty it is worth the $270 dollars to fix!

But most likely, you won't have the issues I had when loctiting the starter!
