    Trying to source a track.

The 144" freeride should still be available. The stock Maverick got trashed in a hurry on mine and Swapped to the 1.5" freeride, no noticeable loss in the powder but a lot better everywhere else and durable! (have 8000 miles on it) Other option is MORE track, cut down a 151" to 14.5" wide and...

    2022 anyone?bueller bueller

Just seen Gerard 2 days ago on what must be his personal Sidewinder while I was out for a walk. He was running it hard and tweaking the rear skid often (looked like an Airwave under it.) Basically no snow left and he was running on a long stretch of snow next to the bike trail.

Mountain Lite - Freeing up tunnel space? Exhaust Turnout/Turndown/ReRoute?

I made a tip/turnout out of a 90" exhaust elbow, works OK but stuff can still get hot on a warm day on that side of the tunnel.

    21/41 GEARING

moves the clutch 1:1 speed from 105 to 112mph. For some reason the Vipers are far less efficient running near/past 1:1 ratio than previous sleds. I went the other way on my XTX buy using the 24/50 LTX setup to gain more low end for off trail use, didn't seen to hurt top end at all.

    2022 Yamaha Viper LTX-GT

OK, the weights honestly surprised me. My 14' Viper XTX is listed as 518# and my Certificate of Origin says 516#. The Enduro Turbo 130hp is 552#, Enduro 900 528#, and the 850 2 stroke 519#. I'm curious to run against a T 130hp, my XTX holds off the 150hp version until 80 mph+ where my...

2015 sr viper oil light and shut down

TORS issue? try loosening the throttle cable a bit and see if that works. I've seen quite a few Vipers develop TORS issues where the engine dies and by the time you look down the Oil light is on.

    SR Viper MTX Clutching

Hitting the limiter 2 to 3 times on a Hole shot is pretty normal, the only thing that cured my XTX of that was a 46/40 helix which allow the secondary to shift out quicker at the start. Down side is it took some RPM out of midrange also and I had to take a decent about of weight out of the...

    Longest day trip?

A few 300 miles days, longest was 341 miles. From my house near Eveleth MN, out Big falls, up to International Falls, then back home. 8 am to 11pm with quite a bit of trail breaking as we took off just after a 12" storm. 150-200 miles is an "average" day for me.

    Nytro to Viper ?’s

It's just a swap of common issues, Nytro has it's exhaust donuts and suspension bushings and the Viper has semi annual drive bearing repack and upper chaincase gear replacements. The latest Viper Flash gave it a more "Nytro" like performance feel, I'd like to see a newly flashed Viper line up...

    SR Viper MTX Clutching

Buddy flatlands a 153" MTX here in Minnesota and it's gear/rev limited to 77mph, clutching alone runs out at 72-73mph. I can literately smell his 2.6 Powerclaw track heating up if he doesn't have his scratchers down from the lugs repeatedly folding back and forth. I'm surprised his track has...

Old Phazer 2stroke woes-butterfly carbs, bogging

Still sounds like something it plugged. I've had to soak my Phazer II carbs in seafoam overnight to get all the gunk out of the tiny passages. A normal quick clean didn't get everything which resulted in a bad bog going from idle to WOT and it didn't run right in the mid range.

    We Can’t get Four!

my 21' tritoon would hold it, but it already goes 40mph with a 140hp Suzuki on the back.

    2022 anyone?bueller bueller

NOT to replace the viper but to fill that big hole in the lineup. They need a cheaper ~95-110hp engine to go against the Ace 900/Doo 600efi 2 stroke and a slightly detuned Rmax twin would fit the bill perfectly and probably fit/sit lower in the chassis then either triple does, heck leave the UTV...

    2022 anyone?bueller bueller

I just want a Wolverine Rmax twin in a Procross 2.0, my Viper isn't going anywhere but I'd sell the Phazer for that one.

    Phazer gt rear shocks

Personally, I have a set of shocks off a Skidoo SC4 skid, SC3/4/5 SHORT TRACK model all use the same length shocks which are very close the same length as the Phazer shocks. You will need to stack some washers on either side off the eyelets on a few of the mounting points as the Doo eyelets are...

    Viper xtx

No turbo plans then the 17'+ have all the important upgrades to the chassis. A 14'-15' if you think you might turbo it, 16'+ might have weak rods that need to be changed before boosting. There were slight upgrades every year from 14-16' on the secondary clutch to chaincase shaft and bearings...

    2010 Phazer Fox Float Bushings

just stack a few stainless steel fender washers in there to shim it up, never had a problem doing so.

    Phazer XTX for trail riding?

My MTX is basically an XTX (built it before yamaha did). Only difference is mine has MTX skies instead of the tuners. It's a "rider active" sled and it rewards those who move around on the seat and lean into corners. They tend to lift the inside ski on corners fairly easy but shortening the...

    2021 sx venom top speed!!65mph

Seems a little low, which model? I could see the mountain/transport versions being that slow. My Phazer MTX bone stock would only hit 72mph GPS but that was hitting the gearing related rev limiter, it still had power to spare.

    Stiffer springs for Phazer FX

As someone else said, FX springs are the stiffest factory springs, there were a few sets of "race" springs floating around from Yamaha's racing efforts. Also note the Phazer has 16" of rear travel, more than any other sled on market, so it's going to have a significant about of sag at rest if...
