I just want a Wolverine Rmax twin in a Procross 2.0, my Viper isn't going anywhere but I'd sell the Phazer for that one.

To what replace the Viper, think about it they are not going to have 2 1000 cc 4 strokes with in 10 hp of each other. If there's going to be a choice I'll take the 3 cyl over the twin any day of the week.

NOT to replace the viper but to fill that big hole in the lineup. They need a cheaper ~95-110hp engine to go against the Ace 900/Doo 600efi 2 stroke and a slightly detuned Rmax twin would fit the bill perfectly and probably fit/sit lower in the chassis then either triple does, heck leave the UTV constant tension clutches on it too, less belt maintenance for a entry model sled.To what replace the Viper, think about it they are not going to have 2 1000 cc 4 strokes with in 10 hp of each other. If there's going to be a choice I'll take the 3 cyl over the twin any day of the week.

Not so sure why much excitement over new two stroke. My venom went down at 15 miles and dealer can't get parts to fix engine. If Yamaha wants to play the 2 stroke game they better at least have parts to fix them!! Best winter in PA in years and I have useless brand new sled.
I purchase a first year Snoscoot 200cc and I believe you did too. With all the issues I had with it I regret buying a first model year sled. I realize they say that for all things with motors but mistakenly though how they can go wrong with a existing generator yammy engine on a kids sled. I was wrong. I don't care if most things that is falling apart is ACs design. Yamaha signed off on it and year after year they upgrade it without offering kits to fix first year model.

Ya well it's not just Cat what about when Yamaha introduced the first year 4 Stroke Phazer. This stuff is never going to change and it happens to all the manufacturer. My Viper and now a Winder are not perfect and none of them are but I will do a little preventative maintenance to have the fastest and best handling snowmachine that Yamaha has ever offered. It is pretty obvious on this site alone what it takes to make these sleds dependable, if your not into wrenching(witch I think is half the fun off it)and doing a little maintenance you probably should look elsewhere but don't kid yourself there is not one brand out there that doesn't have it's problems.

Agreed but on a 5 grand for a kids sled (in Canada) I was hopping some of that money was spent on engineering vs just putting parts together and hope it works.

I’m sure I will be disappointed again this year from Yamaha but here’s my wish for 2022. 600 2 stroke in a 137 with a ice storm 1.5 track, Fox Shox all around, a more rider forward design that’s easy for stand up or sit down, nice gauge with GPS, suspension adjustments similar but far better than the R-motion and ski adjustment for more or less carbide bite, similar grip and thumb warmers like the Matryx, good wind protection, and color choices. Yamaha Racing Blue and White, the retro Yellow and Black, V-Max Red ( 1997 limited production ) and the teal color from the 1996 V-Max XTs, different color choices for the Mountain Max, Blue, Yellow and Black, and red, and finally a 2 stroke 50/50 sled with both the 600 and 800s, 146 inch track in 1.25-1.5, and a 1.75 with optional pre studded or regular design, adjustable ski stance 40-43.5 inches, tipped rails like the Switchback Assaults or B.C.s. But I’m sure I will be disappointed again this year.

That's a good wish list of options, but sadly you will probably need a box of Kleenex after the Yamaha release, Cat/Yamaha spent most of their development money for new chassis design on fighting Ski-doo in court for stealing there design.

I am surprised that this sneak peek hasn't generated more interest? From what is said in the video, I understood that the new model was a high mileage cruiser designed to lure the old Delta Box guys over to the new Yamaha (AC) sleds, with the big teaser being POWER STEERING!!!! Personally, if the new sled is a Sidewinder LTX with Fox QS3 shocks and power steering, I am excited. My wife has been clinging to her 2013 Vector LTX, because of the power steering. I think a new luxury cruiser with power steering will finally convince some of the Yamaha faithful to make the switch, and the addition of power steering is a lot more than new colors and bold new graphics.EPS, NEW VENTURE?

My wife would loved EPS but does she really need to buy a 200hp sled to have it with this platform? Hopefully not...

IMO I don't think there's much interest is this sneak peak because people will be going elsewhere.
