I am looking to install a Timbersled Mountain Tamer on my XTX. My plan is to use the stock rails. Does anyone know if I can run an 8" rear idler set up with my stock rails or do I have to use the stock rear idlers?

Got to agree with Caper on this one. It really does depend on your flipper technique. Nice smooth transitions in speed and consistant throttle position have a major impact. Best achieved this winter in ideal groomed trail conditions was 101.2 miles while burning 22.2 liters. Approx. cruising...

Apex...keep us posted on your success with the SLT's on your Nytro. I had a set of these on my 07 Phazer and they worked very well. I found that the inverted keel blade really took care of alot of the 'hunting' Yamaha's are so well know for.

I don't know if I'm stirring the poop here, but on my 09 XTX, my feet are definitely getting wet....but I don't think it's from the left foot well area. On trail or not, my feet get wet from the water running down the top of the tunnel and out from where the seat/gas tank interfaces the tunnel...
