I agree to a large extent that they want single chassis; if they are, however, as happy as CR implies with the deal and the SRV chassis, I see Yamaha fans getting a whole lot of BNG and minor tweaks in that chassis for at least another year. You're likely right that the Phazer will be dropped...
Another year of whizzing on the faithful's heads while telling us it's raining. I've waited patiently for the next step from my Nytro since I bought it in 08, and wanted that to be a Yamaha, but this is six years of nothing other than positioning themselves to be Arctic Cat light progressively...
Where is the bleeping VENOM? SR Viper is in the product line up obviously. However, I see a listing for SX Venom under accessories... Is this a two stroke in a Procross that Yamaha is holding back? Or am I just missing something completely??? (I would be a happy person if this were a boosted...
Does anyone know how this much corrosion builds up like this? I have not touched the coolant once even to add coolant. While I had not flushed it either, I would not have expected coolant to be bad after only four years. I had seen the hotlight come on once in four years on a 50 degree day when...
My wife rides on the back of mine all the time and she has not had an issue; granted, neither her nor I are large people, and I sit on the very front of the seat when she is along.
Yamaha's Facebook page now says there will be a live announcement at 11:45ctc. They could be pulling something here, but I am not holding my breath. If they announce this "variant" live over there, I can't imagine it getting a warmer reception than here.
I have an Olympus Stylus Tough 8010; 14 mpxs, waterproof to 33ft, shockproof from a 6.6ft drop, crushproof up to 220lbs. I take it snowmobiling and jetskiing, and it works very well in not great environments. The 720p videos and rapid shoot mode are perfect for this type of activity. I would...
I only have about 500 miles on it, but I am really liking the Skinz seat on mine, and that is about 2" higher than the stock seat; the additional padding is also welcome on long, rough days. It also will give a ton of potential storage room under the seat once I finish a new block-off plate.
Once properly heated, there is no effort required scratching to pull them off; simply lift a corner and use a smooth, slow, consistent pull and they come off in one piece. The black portion does show scratches easily as well.
My sled turned out nice and it only took a hair dryer, 20 minutes, burnt fingers and a rub down with goo gone to get it done.
I had planned on putting a Sledwraps kit on, but I am happy with the plain look for now.
Valve clearance adjustment isn't recommended until 25000 miles by the service manual, but checking the fuel injection synchronization is after break in.
I enjoyed the stock ski's on nicely groomed trails: they handled flawlessly with the right carbides. But a few days the first winter of getting stuck time after time while trying to break trails after freshly drifted snowfalls, and I was done; there just is not enough area to lift the front end...
There is much more foam than the stock seat so I doubt that comfort will be an issue.
I ride about 50/50 standing/sitting especially when the trails get whooped out on the weekends. The only aspect I am concerned about is the transfer from sitting to laying on the inside rail and back again...
Almost ready for the snow to fly-- just need to relocate the tail-light and install K&N's and a power commander. Happy to be rid of the dated, red, 40th look, and the Skinz seat from sled solutions is great.
I had the same issue when I tried to go the short route and just polish mine after two seasons of no attention; it didn't work until I went for the wet sanding process. It was a huge pain in the #*$&@, but I am happy with the results, and it's really the only way to go if your tunnel is extremely...
I have XTX's on my sled, and they have made an incredible difference. Probably not the best ski for someone who is concerned about heavier steering unless one takes the time to dial in the weight transfer, but if you want something to lift that front end up and over off-trail and to hook up in...
Hahaha... I switched to the 10's only because I had the gas tank off at the time to put a new exhaust in. But 1-2 hp for $30.00 is far more efficient than 8-12 for $500 in an aftermarket exhaust. It might gain you a ski-loop in 1000', all other things being equal. SO it's probably not worth the...
