    Nytro in the Trees

Now what about skid shock preload? I've tried running around 100 psi in the rear thinking it might allow the ba ck of the sled to come around easier while carving. Sorta worked, but felt too soft. Conversely, I've upped it to 150 psi and found that increased the effort to carve and caused the...

    Nytro in the Trees

OK, sounds like I need to give softer another chance. I was tending toward 80 lbs so I could go in and out of drainage swales and variable terrain with some speed while up on edge, but it makes overall handling a lot of work. Mtnviper how much do you weigh without gear? I am at 185 and tried 55...

    Nytro in the Trees

Anybody found consistent good results with stiff vs. soft ski preload for trees and deep powder? I get variable results with either. Seems to depend on the snow. I rode a Pro last week for a day in the trees and was quite impressed with how easily it went where I looked. ***Ditto Mtdreams...

OFT relocate vs power madd pivot riser

So I've done the relocate, but am wondering about a pivot riser to move the bars forward to gain some leverage over the difficult steering effort required to navigate the sled. When I swap sleds while out riding with my buddies every other sled feels like grandma's Cadillac to steer. Doesn't...

    Trail tank will not fit

When I first put the tank on it was dry. Got the tank from a guy parting out a wrecked 08 Nytro. I've heard they have improved the tank over the last couple years. Maybe I got a first generation run, cause nothing lined up well. Have to change the oil next week and am not looking forward to...

    Trail tank will not fit

Well, I haven't damaged the sled, but maybe some KY would do the trick. It does wonders for other sorts of tight fits.

    Trail tank will not fit

I forgot to mention that I removed the steering gate bolts and it still would not move forward far enough. I'm wondering if anybody has either trimmed the rearward portion of the tank or the part of the seat assembly that forms the pocket or crotch that slides between the tunnel and the tank...

    Trail tank will not fit

Hey guys, what about the way the seat fits (or doesn't fit)? When I force the tank into place so that it just barely clears the two studs in the tunnel, I find that the two tabs that stick down from the seat assembly are about a half inch rearward of where they need to be. I have to force the...

Trail Tank - Yes or No ???

The installation nighmares were every bit the headache conveyed by others. The fit and finish is marginal. But the extended range is awesome and the difference in the way the sled rides is barely perceptible. I still carry a gallon when the snow is deep cause I don't like taking it easy near...

    153vs162 which is better?

A couple buddies have 153 MTXs and I have a 162. Their sleds are noticably easier to turn. But mine floats better in the deep and I don't get stuck as often. If I were buying a new sled today I would go for the shorter track.
